Ready Check: Raid understudies and how to grow them {WoW}

Feb 26th 2010 6:08PM "When I'm helping a healer get some practice, I mostly run into a Heroic and then pull, pull, pull, faster and faster like my house in on fire. Then, I'll take my pants off."

Thank you for my new Sig! lol

Shifting Perspectives: State of the class, part 3 - Resto {WoW}

Nov 6th 2008 4:13PM Recount is completely broken. It is not correctly able to calculate effective healing. I am coming in dead last or practically so on recount meters in our SWP raids, and first on every one of the last 5 WWS reports. My overheals in the WWS reports are ranging around 20-25% compared to 50% and more for our holy pallies, resto shammies and CoH priests (who have astonishingly high overheals in the 70th percentile)

I would definitely attribute a lot of that healing efficiency to Wild Growth's speedy hot when the raid is taking damage, but I think the very best tip I got came from the wow druid forum. I changed the keybinding on my lifebloom to rejuv and I haven't looked back since. It is a little more mana intensive, but my swiftmend usage has gone up, and between my new mainstay tank heal regrowth and all the rejuvs and wild growths I am throwing out, my healing is significantly more effective.

I was so angry with the changes to Lifebloom when it happened, but I think it was mostly because I didn't like to change. I would say I am quite pleased with the changes to resto healing, now that I have found my groove.

Tank Talk: The irresistible fight {WoW}

Jul 11th 2008 2:16PM On Hydross - Bears can actually reach the cap quite easily. Remember, we don't need to hit the full resistance cap, because presumably you have Hunters (nature resist) and Pallies (Frost Resist) in your raid group to give you that extra boost.

So, anyway, back to that bear resist set - have a leatherworker make the heavy clefthoof set. All gems slots get void spheres (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=22459), enchants should be all resistance enchants, and if a resistance enchant is not available, use a nature or Frost resistance armor kit. (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29487, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29486)

Next, get a jewelcrafter to make the epic resist necklace and ring. And finally troll the Auction House for the remaining random pieces (green cloak, another resist ring, etc.) to fill out your resistance.

There you have it, the bear has excellent stam and defense rating and full resistance to the frost or nature debuffs that Hydross puts out. My druid has successfully tanked Hydross in Nature phase many times using this gear setup.
