Jul 25th 2008 11:10PM Wow... So maelstrom weapon is now 5 points of useless?
Jul 25th 2008 12:29AM I think I'm just going to start screaming repetetively. OVER and OVER.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES !
Tooltip: Maelstrom Weapon: When you critically hit with a melee weapon, you reduce the cast time of your NEXT SPELL by 20% stacks up to 5 times.
Anyone think an instant/ near instant heal every 15 or so seconds will help out shaman survivabilty? :D
Jul 18th 2008 9:57AM Wow, I would take spell haste over the mediocre wrath of air ANY day.
The windfurry totem is not really being nerfed... 20% haste is a pretty huge boost in DPS, and it actually benefits the shaman, AND we can drop the new strength totem as well.
And to thatquietgamerdude, while haste will put more hits into the cooldown of windfury, ultimately it will increase the number of windfuries as there will be more white hits to proc windfury when the cooldown is off, so you'll have more white damage, AND windfurry procs... and more CRITS for that matter.
and to William... how often did you use the stoneskin totem now? Only tanks are armor capped, and we don't even know what the cap will be in WLK, so we should wait it out.
Jul 14th 2008 3:46AM Good point at the end there, it used to be you had to PVE to get good PVP gear... but now, you have to PVP to get good PVE gear.
Jul 13th 2008 4:41PM No way not even close! The tank position usually is something favored by the older, and more mature members of the guild. DPS is by far the whiners.
Jul 12th 2008 5:14PM I wouldn't say tradeskills are very usefull. Look at blacksmithing! Unless you have 1k gold and a high end guild 99.5% of the things you can make are useless! Not to mention you can pvp for an equivilent weapon in just a few days. Talk about a money sink.
Jul 12th 2008 5:07PM Speaking from the point of an enhancement shaman in pvp, it seems mages have one of the largest degrees of competency from the worst to best players. Some players genuinely know how to use their talents, while others do not. Although it is generally accepted that enhancement shamans have medium-low pvp survivability I would imagine most mages would disagree becuase enhancement shamans have a LARGE amount of tools to deal with casters, specificly mages and warlocks. However, having said that, I can agree that mages could use a boost in their damaging casts because they really should be the ultimate damaging caster in the game on a single target AND aoe.
The three classes that are the easiest to defeat for me currently are: (from easiest on down)
Paladin, Mage, Warlock
And if it makes you mages any happier (I'm sure it won't :D) I find that warlocks are about as easy as you guys.
Jul 12th 2008 1:20AM My name them I generally go by now came to be when I started by typing all of the names I thought I could never get... (ie.. Death, Kill, Ninja, Thief, and etc.) and I wound up getting the name Fire on a server that was about a year and a half old... much to my surprise I also obtained the name Ice... who happens to be a fire mage (imagine the surprise of my pvp opponents lol). After that my names involve the simplest idea most likely to be taken.
Newest Name: Blink
Name most surprised was available: Tie=Fire/Ice
Least in-line with my naming policy: Liedel
Most (HOW DID YOU GET THAT) whispers: Fire
Most desired, never obtained: Death (imagine, gladiator gear shadow priest with ahune's scythe...)
Surprisingly, you also get a lot of insults.. mostly things insulting your originality etc... which I think is interesting. Anyways, that's how I name my characters! It was great reading how some people do theirs.
