Mar 24th 2009 6:01PM "The calls for focused testing on the PTR continue, this time with a focus on PvP and the arena."
Actually, just the arenas, but for convenience' sake, lets all pretend along with the devs that deathmatches are the only PvP that matters.
Mar 21st 2009 8:01PM This sucks, but what's worse is waiting to see what they do to Int to "balance" all of this.
Gods forbid we might have at least been allowed to TRY to gear for our own class.
Mar 15th 2009 9:01PM How nice, the profession with everything gets even more, and engineering gets a grand total of four garbage recipes noone wants from the giant clockwork army dungeon patch.
GG Blizz, GG.
Mar 14th 2009 9:25PM "Maybe you guys can explain it to me. We were told that spirit would become a "more useful and interesting stat for all Mages." If it isn't going to increase our damage, and isn't going to increase our mana regen (beyond its already meager ability to do so), what is it going to do?"
It's going to take over some of the stat values that are weighted toward int right now, that's it. It's neither more useful or more interesting, they're just doing this to make sure mages can't gear specifically for damage anymore; past point x we HAVE to waste ilvls on spirit now.
Who wants to take bets on when WoW completely ceases to be an RPG?
Mar 5th 2009 6:59PM It's been a failure since day one; the game needs separate stat values for pvp and pve across the board, not this BS "required" stat that only exists as an emergency brake on blizzard's pathologically horrible itemization system.
Same goes for hit.
Mar 5th 2009 3:33PM Yeah, this is a great strategy; who wouldn't knowingly trade 1/20th more damage for 4/5 less armor and no added survivability.
Mar 1st 2009 7:30PM There's a difference between common sense additions they were going to make anyway and "caving"; it was absurd for engineering to be the only profession in the game with no bonus whatsoever, but not quite as absurd as bowing to the waterfall of tears shed over the candy achievement, for example.
Feb 25th 2009 3:17AM Here's hoping there are more coming up; I would really like an excuse to keep the prof after four years, but they really aren't giving us much to work with here.
Feb 23rd 2009 6:39PM In an ironic way, this post says more about the actual state of engineering than I possibly could.
Especially since the poster doesn't seem to realize that the haste enchant became our boost last patch.
Nevertheless, listen to Schramm: if you want worthless toys (and the haste boost), go engineering.
If, on the other hand, you were hoping to see the actual gameplay-related items upgraded to work past 60, prepare to cut your expectations down to about 9/10 of that as you hit 80.
If you joined for the mechanical dragonling, rocket boots, goggles, or reflectors, I'm going to laugh at you, with great, great cruelty.
