Two Bosses Enter: Lord Godfrey vs. Scourgelord Tyrannus! {WoW}

Mar 28th 2011 1:05PM In my opinion Godfrey wins this one. He's more agile, smarter, and he'd eventually learn the secret to kiting Tyrannus. As said before in other comments, Hunter>Warrior, even with a pet drake that inherently gives him yet even more snares to deal with. Godfrey might luck out every once and awhile and a ghoul might cancel out Overlord's Brand's usefulness. (Hits the ghoul, ghoul doesn't hit that hard/dies early canceling the ability.) His drake would eventually die to Cursed Bullets(That is if Tyrannus doesn't die first.) and it's not like the big Frost Rune on the ground is hard to avoid. I've no doubt in my mind that Godfrey would avoid pretty much all of Rimefang's abilities. The Mortal Wound would eventually stack up to 100% cutting off his ability to heal as well.

Is faction antagonism story-driven or player-driven? {WoW}

Sep 20th 2010 12:58PM It's not that she cares about what the Horde or anyone thinks, rather it's that she cares for her people. She understands them and their curse. She does not like being apart of the Horde but from her standpoint an ally against the Alliance is better than yet another enemy. If things were to end differently The Forsaken would become a third faction of sorts.

She did order the plague to be researched however she never ordered Putricide to kill those at the Wrathgate and hey, it's how she fights.

In terms of Garrosh. No one likes Garrosh, in fact I think most of the Horde, that includes players not just NPC's hate him with a firey passion. Hell he kills Cairne Bloodhoof, AND has a little bout with Vol'Jin. No one wants him to be the leader of the Horde and the story is looking like he's not gonna be around for long. Especially if he makes a mistake.

Is faction antagonism story-driven or player-driven? {WoW}

Sep 18th 2010 12:06PM I remember a developer at one of the earlier Blizzcons stating that Sylvanas didn't actually want to attack the Worgens. She was more focused on the betrayal of Varimathras and Putricide. The Forsaken were no longer trusted by the Horde hence the new guards in Undercity. As Garrosh takes control he orders Sylvanas to attack Gilneas just for the sake of having an extra port in the Eastern Kingdoms. So it is not The Forsaken attacking them, but Garrosh. She's only doing this so that the Horde won't completely distrust and kick them out.

Totem Talk: Healing Rain {WoW}

Aug 24th 2010 6:20PM Makes me sad that no one remembers where this spell came from. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 Stars. The character Mallow has a spell that conjues a rain cloud that heals a single character. http://www.mariowiki.com/HP_Rain

Patch 3.3 PTR: Ghostcrawler explains Paladin changes {WoW}

Oct 28th 2009 12:44PM I gotta say this is a welcome nerf. I play a dual-spec Prot/Ret pally and I don't see a major problem. We lost a bit of mitigation and a super heal. I've never relied on sacred shield myself so, not a major deal for me. We can still use it, but now paladins have to be smarter with it/learn to deal without it.

However when I pvp on my hunter, it pisses me off to watch a ret pally pop it, and go back to full health with AoW/FoL spam, then a HoT from the damn SS. Add the bubble, +the LoH. That's a damn near unkillable pally. As to the person saying pallies are the easiest to kite, um Hand of Freedom. 15% speed boost from talents? And Exorcism with the AoW talent is an instant cast ability. If you crit so rarely that it almost never procs, than you really need to stack some more.

And yes, I have 605 resil, so I'm not poorly geared. Not amazingly geared, but I have enough resil to survive an attack. Even with 605 though, Paladins if they catch me and just hammer of lulz and destroy me. If they're not smart and waste Hammer first instead of Repentance, I have a chance.

Granted this is a pve nerf and I feel for people, but wah, we're getting nerfed, it's not a new thing. People who are QQing don't have the resil/gear or are just sad they can't roll around in BG's picking people off like the Juggernaut in a bubble. : /

Breakfast Topic: Most emotional boss encounter? {WoW}

Sep 1st 2009 5:33PM Sylvannas didn't commission an attack you idiot. The Royal Apothecary as well as Varthian in the Royal Quater took over Undercity and attacked the Wrathgate. It is a massive chain quest that every Horde player should do, just like bringing Thrall home. You really should do some research before you attack our leaders. Sylvannas had nothing to do with the Wrathgate attack, it was a huge betrayal.

Note: In Cataclysm, Sylvannas doesn't want to attack the Worgen, despite the fact that they have lost quite a few Darkstalkers to them, because she understands the difference between Gilneas, and SFK. Arugal is the one who was killing her men, Gilneas is the shut off encampment. Garrosh gets all pissy and forces her to attack them because they want a Northern Port in Kalimdor.

AND Sylvannas only joined the Horde for the sake of the matter that they were under constant attack, they don't really care much for anyone but protecting themselves. HOWERVER, they will not turn their back on the Horde and are ready to fight for them and with them ie. Battle for the Undercity in which she and Thrall take back UC.

We Have a Tabard: Don't go away mad, just go away {WoW}

Aug 30th 2009 4:22AM Gigi is terrible. -.- her rhymes are SO forced and she sounds like she just shoves them in their and prays she doesn't talk over her own words. The guy was decent, but saying, fuck, shit, fuck, and more shit, and shit about fuck. That's not rap, that's just a retard using words that rhyme and saying fuck to show us you're "Hardcore." Especially with Gigi, was like listening to a 10 year old who just learned what a cuss word was. Please, like everyone has posted, NO MORE GIGI!

P.S. I can't do any better, I'm terrible, so I will give her credit for at least making the video. /nod

Lichborne: Reputation rewards for Death Knights in Wrath of the Lich King {WoW}

Nov 30th 2008 10:17PM I read up a bit on ElitisJerk.com to figure out exactly about what you were asking. I got a great unholy spec and a lot of answers.

Haste isn't all that good because it mainly works for just our melee swings. Melee is a good chunk of dps but our talented strikes and diseases are our real bread and butter and are unaffected by haste.

Armor penetration is a meh stat because, like haste it's for white swings. Diseases will increase our damage is unaffected by Armor penetration.

Strength is our most important stat because it gives us parry, ap, and if you're unholy and grabbed impurity, it directly increases the effect of that talent, which in turn increases your damage from diseases, abilities, and spells.

Critical Strike Rating also isn't all the important due to the fact that our dots do a lot of damage and crit doesn't work for them. It's not an ignorable stat you want some crit, it's just not all that good of a stat.

Agility is a good alternative to critical strike rating due to the fact that it also gives us dodge for tanking, and crit as well.

Crit affects our melee swings, strikes, and dc. So it's good to have but not super important.

Head to ElitistJerk.com, might be jerks, I always mix it up. They have an excellent article on DK dps for all specs + glyphs and hit rotations. My dps shot up after tweaking one of their unholy specs to my liking and I love it.
