Oct 28th 2008 10:31AM The plague was the setup for going to Northrend. You seem to care more about the gear/gold/faux materials of the game rather than the story. The event was supposed to interrupt your normal routine for a brief period.
I was originally thinking the plague split the community into those who had /played long enough to be ready for a change and an epic world event versus those who were new to game and lore and just confused. But maybe it's more those who enjoy the game for it's story elements and those who only play for their pixels.

Sep 23rd 2008 11:35AM Once again the undead herd migrates south with the approach of the cold Azerothian winter.
Sep 7th 2008 2:20PM So far I've experienced a wait of 3 hours patching 118 MB only to have the patch die at 94%. Now it seems to be stalled for the last 30 minutes at 30%.
Sep 3rd 2008 1:41PM I'm wondering how the dungeon tuning is going so far. I assume Blizzards intent is that the earliest 68-73 level dungeons can be accomplished in mixed outland/northrend greens with the mid-high levels 74+ being of mostly northrend green geared players. I also heard the goal is for dungeon runs to be accomplished within an hour time frame. How close are the currently implemented dungeons to these goals?
Aug 13th 2008 12:22PM I don't have the blue post handy but I believe they wanted to cut down the lag between the implementation of patch 3.0 and the release of WotLK. It may have been the case that with TBC patch 2.0 was released a month in advance to partially sate the consumers as the expansion experienced a delay of some weeks past a previously announced release date. So maybe we'll see patch 3.0 in a matter of a few weeks before WotLK barring a late delay.
Aug 1st 2008 2:28AM I completely agree. Hopefully this isn't a sign that things are changing for the worse at Blizzard (arbitrary deadlines >> quality). Then again perhaps it's a sign of confidence in their progress on the expansion. Still, it's very odd.
Jul 31st 2008 3:52PM As long as the drum debuff doesn't affect the rest of the band we can add other instruments... Blacksmithing - "The Axe (guitar)", Engineering - "Synthesizer", Alchemist - "The Jug (jug band)", Jewelcrafter - "Crystal Goblets (glass music)"...
Jul 28th 2008 2:09PM I'm looking forward to inscription simply because my priest picked up herbalism to make gold back in the day. The herb market was pretty strong with just alchemists buying. With the addition of inscription, I wonder how long it will take for the herb market to stabilize. My characters were idle during the start of tBC so I didn't really see what happened to the metal/gem market when jewel crafting was introduced.
