Mar 27th 2012 3:44PM I don't think its as much the system as it is those that live within it. Should Blizzard be able to throw out ideas they have for the future? Absolutely. Can they expect the large numbers of out of touch players to sit on thier hands when one of thier ideas doesn't come to fruition in the near future or (gasp) at all. Absolutely not. It's a shame when "we want to do x" turns into "we are doing x immediately", but those are the times. This is especially true before a new expansion drops. I think things would stay cooler if they managed expectations a little better. They should explain what all is involved with implementing said change/idea, instead of making a vauge statement and having to back track. Maybe that way more people would have a better grasp on what they should expect.
Mar 27th 2012 1:34PM I agree with you on most fronts, and you've furthered my point. A lot of the player base is very unrealistic when it comes to these kinds of things, so yes, it would be better if they held thier tongue until its official. I'm not saying I agree with these players expectations, as I'm not one of them, but Blizzard should know by now what type of reaction these types of players will have. Waiting for it to be in patch notes is going a little far(which was intended), but waiting until a feature is in production would calm the unrealistic.
Mar 27th 2012 11:40AM This kind of backlash is always Blizzards fault. They already know how the majority of the community reacts to statements such as this. They see how excited people get, then just back track to reduce further backlash. Announce something like this when its actually being worked on, instead of while its in the pipe dream stage. Judging by the blue post above, it seems like something that may or may not happen, not something they are 100% trying to implement. Until its something that's currently being worked on, just keep it in house. Under promise, over deliver.
Mar 23rd 2012 12:24PM I'm more impressed with the info that's coming out now that beta has started. I think they did a decent job, but none of the info was really new or mind blowing. The currency data mining finally has me excited.
Mar 23rd 2012 12:21PM Officially dusting off my level 80 Warlock.
Mar 23rd 2012 12:14PM The people that thought every single person, with the annual pass, would get in on day one, are completely out of touch. There is no way they could unleash that many people at once, the servers would be a crash fest. I'm just happy that I'm guaranteed a spot, and that's all I or anyone else should have expected.
Mar 21st 2012 5:48PM Disregard that, meant to reply to someone.
Mar 21st 2012 5:47PM 1. Yes, looking forward to mists, but ready for something outside of Azeroth. 2. Grats, you get a cookie. Since you knew what I meant, go choke on it.

Mar 21st 2012 2:17PM Having him be possessed by the Sha is just to obvious and seems like a cop out, especially if we learn that the Sha are manifestations of an old god. I would be more excited if his corruption did have some ties to the burning legion. Whether he dies or not, it would be a nice segway into the next expansion. I guess Im just ready for a change of scenery, so fighting the BL on thier turf would be a welcome change. I'm also looking forward to the possibility of a demon hunter class(hero or not) and ethereal race. I'm still looking forward to mists, but as they said, its really just the calm before the storm, so I'm treating it as such.
