Dec 8th 2008 3:10PM Regarding legendary/epic weapons, this is how I like to think of it.
Gorehowl is nice, yes, and was used by one of the greatest warriors in Azeroth's history. But is the weapon itself special? No. The only things special is that it killed Cenarius and Mannoroth. Legendary weapons should be weapons with actual special properties.
I hate to use lollore books as an example, but think of Brox's weapon he used during the War of the Ancients. It was specially made, and was able to cut Sargeras. The WEAPON did it, not Brox. If Brox jumped into Legion's home using [Steel Claymore], he might have killed a lot of demons, but wouldn't have laid a scratch on Sargeras. Likewise, give anyone else Brox's weapon and give them a way to get close to Sargeras, chances are they would manage to cut him too. Some weapons are famous because they themselves have special properties, and some are famous because of the wielder. Gorehowl is an example of the second, while the Ashbringer and Frostmourne are examples of the first.
Jul 14th 2008 3:46AM I actually saw this for the first time tonight. Went into a EotS and 12/15 of the alliance just stood at the starting point. We won quick and it was nice at first. It is discouraging, though, knowing this is what pvp is turning into, just a grinding session.
