Jun 18th 2011 11:00AM blizz got them to pull the non-official armory app because blizz was launching their own one. Offering a service at a cost which doesnt actually give anything which blizz doesnt give for free isnt going to go well.
Blizz are unlikely to offer a Mr Robot style app, as it's the kind of thing that they've said they won't directly support.
Jun 15th 2011 10:20AM Our guild really pulled together for the seafood magnifique recipe. Getting to 10k fish from pools with only 1 or 2 fishers just wasnt working, then a load of people joined in purely to help out. Being able to fish pools in cata content from 1 skill really helped out a lot!
Jun 13th 2011 6:19PM Actually MK, it's far worse for Eregos. He gets his Arcane attacks reflected back at him, forcing him to take wing. Then he gets paralyzed, leading him to drop like the provebial stone, taking fall damage. He then gets hit by Shatter- Ozruk likes to melee and Eregos has no need to seek distance in his initial view. Still reeling from the shatter, Eregos then takes a ground slam in the face. If he was quick enough to start hovering again, those sharp rock spikes are going to be right in his nether regions. Any whelps will find themselves taken out by Elementium Bullwark, so the main damage Ozruk is going to take will be from the Planar Anomalies. Those are going to sting, but the reflected arcane power would surely close the anomlaies during Bullwark.
Jun 13th 2011 12:26PM Suddenly, a better punting target than gnomes is apparent to me...
Jun 13th 2011 12:23PM The main problem being that American beer is like making love in a canoe.
Jun 11th 2011 1:40PM I think there's a level of confusion here about the artists keeping arting because they need to create new visuals, rather than new visuals being implemented so that they can keep arting.
It'd be nice if we could use old gear with new stats. It'd be AWESOME for RPing- being able to wear your battered chain mail without losing your epic stats would be great.
It'd also completely remove the element of being able to identify progression from gear. World first players could deliberately adopt the looks of level 10 characters. It's a nice idea, but makes PVP alot more of a headache for recognising what kind of gear you're up against!
Jun 11th 2011 1:33PM I always thought they were troll heads! Looking at the model, it's possible they're elven, but the nose profile looks far more like a troll to me. It could also just be that Blood Elves have sociopathic tendencies...
Jun 6th 2011 8:11AM Loving the South Park reference!
I play in my office area, as it's where my PC is to be found. I used to try to play on the laptop, sharing time with my wife, but then she decided she wanted to use the laptop and sent me back to my PC.
Jun 6th 2011 7:23AM Maturity doesnt neccessarily mean that they can't survive alone beforehand. It may be that Tauren in their tweens are physically developed, but are still considered immature. They may only reach breeding age at 50, but are physically developed from 5 or something.
Jun 6th 2011 7:20AM The goblins aren't exactly strip mining- yes, they are mining, but not (yet) on the scale that strip mining implies. Azshara was a bit of a weird zone pre-cata. It wasn't heavily populated, other than by nage. They aren't really destroying it, just extensive remodelling. They did similar things in Kezan, and it all stabilised out.
In stonetalon they were clearcutting large amounts of wood, so that they could make a profit.
In Ashenvale, the wood needed to build homes is having to be fought for. The orcs only started clearcutting because the Night Elves stepped up their ambush tactics, so it becomes a defensive move. The Ancient protectors are doing what the Night Elves tell them, not following the Earth Mother.
The Earth Mother understands the balance of things- Life and Death. The Night Elves can be thought of as upsetting the balance, as they're putting too much emphasis on Life. If you think of it as protecting your friends from them, then it's definitely following the path of the Light (or Sun aspect).
Regarding the Forsaken, yeah, some of the quests really suck for Tauren. There are a few too many where the quest is actually misleading your character. However, faith in the Earth Mother can lead you to focus on the positive aspects- again, defending allies, and trying to help them to find the correct path rather than forsaking (haha) them.
Cairne understood that division was one of the weaknesses of the old Tauren ways. By unifying the tribes, he created a far stronger nation. By working with the Horde rather than becoming isolationist like the Gilneans tried, it ensures the survival of the Tauren.
Just as a note, the above reflects some of the ways you can RP as a Tauren. I'm not saying that any of them reflect the absolute truth, that all Night Elves are actually against the EM etc.
I often find the greatest challenge of RPing is not letting your character know too much. It's unlikely that a Tauren Paladin would know much about the Night Elves, other than what he's been told by his friends- most of which aren't going to be too sympathetic to them, unless for example he comes from a family of druids who work extensively with the Cenarion Circle.
