Blood Pact: The new destruction in patch 4.3 {WoW}

Oct 18th 2011 2:30AM For me it isn't the buff that's the problem, but rather casting spells that are either on or close to the GCD for the most part, only to be forced to cast a spell every now and then that in comparison, feels like it takes forever to finish and hits only slightly harder than our main nuke along with a small dot effect that should be maxed on the target within a few seconds of the fight

Sep 30th 2011 5:36AM I tried to solo Magtheridon on my pally a few months ago, while it is technically possible(ignoring all the warlocks and infernals of course) his blast wave causes you to get knocked midair. While in the air he sometimes cannot target you, causing him to evade and the fight resetting - extremely annoying when you get him down to 40% after having several other fights reset on the first blast wave

Sep 28th 2011 2:13AM As a card carrying member of the Destro4Life club, I have to say that currently both affli and demo is currently 'better' - more dose in single or aoe situations and the destroyed 'rotation' currently just feels very wrong with hardcasting soul fire and having corruption on a higher priority than incinerate or chaos bolt - That said if your guild isn't doing progression or heroic raids you can still use whatever spec you like the most

Concerning the COBOL stuff - its true that many companies still use it, but the question is whether they will want new developers for that - there are many more places using newer languages that want fresh blood

Know Your Lore: The Watchers and Shadow Wardens {WoW}

Sep 22nd 2011 6:15AM In the war of the ancients books, illidan says that he created the new well specifically for when the legion returns, they will have the means to fight back(the fact that he wanted more precious magic to play with was a bonus) - he was right and malfurion knew it. Even if there was no well the legion would eventually still have arrived to eradicate all life, but there would not have been a big ol' tree to blow up with a few hundred wisps.

When illidan absorbed the skull of gul'dan, he knew again that he needed its power to fight the legion, but malfurion was simply too freaked out and banished him from night elf society. The same thing would have happened if he succeeded in destroying the lich king, but malfurion interfered because he was hurting the forests or something. Fact is malfurion KNEW what illidan did was best in the sense of the greater good, but he still punished him every time.

That said, does anyone else get the impression that maiev's obsession with illidan was a sort of reverse Stockholm syndrome(she wasn't the one who imprisoned him so basic stalker obsession doesn't quite fit) - until the tables have turned and she decided he must die instead at least...

Sep 21st 2011 4:50AM I see your drain tanking of a boss and raise you drain tanking of TWO of the horsemen - having a pet tanking the other one and switching around once the debuff got high

Sep 20th 2011 9:27AM I love the idea of chaos bolt changing corruption into a shadowflame effect - this will allow it to actually benefit from our mastery. Depending on how it is implemented it could allow us to recast corruption as its a different dit now(I dunno, a bit too afflictiony) or we can effectively switch between the two(due to CB's cooldown)

Of course for some real CHAOS bolt action, have it randomly affect one of our dots(with no bad effects) - corruption turns into shadowflame, immolate causes an explosion(dot effect still remains, perhaps with a lesser shadowfury type effect that only dazes for a second) and bane of agony/doom/havoc can summon a slightly stronger ebon imp or preferrably some other demon type to wail away for just a few seconds

Sep 15th 2011 2:17AM My guess is that while DW was in stormwind getting onyxia's head, some cultists smuggle Nef's head out of orgrimmar. This also explains the two ressurection methods - being a disembodied head carried by a spiky, lava dripping creature not exactly known for his gentle ways is likely to cause some brain damage(well, more than being dead for such a long time), while Nef's head was probably carried on a pillow surrounded by ice cubes

Sep 2nd 2011 5:13AM I've also hot a nice 'set' all ready from TBC - using a combination of the green random enchant Blood Knight's and Champion's sets along with some wrath arena shoulders that match the red/gold theme

Aug 25th 2011 2:10AM Already have a full set of greens for my pally since the beginning of the year(originally an Rp set )- its a mix of blood Knight's gear and champion's gear I didn't like the look of either's shoulders so I got some wrath arena shoulders that match colourwise(red/gold) although its still not a complete match with looks
