Nov 6th 2008 5:42PM Great news for chinese goldfarmers, great news for those willing to give Blizzards TOU the finger by buying gold from the goldfarmers.
Bad news for the rest of us who think raiding epics should be the reward of actual raiding efforts, not gold buying.
Truly truly hate this idea >:(((
Oct 14th 2008 9:00AM FFS, this is more than a few builds obsolete. The cooldown on Circle of Healing was removed over 3 MONTHS ago and is still in the patch notes!
If Blizz goes live with these crappy patch notes, it is complete fail. Anyone actually reading these notes will have less correct information than someone who doesn't >:(
Blizz tends to tell us to read the patch notes. These makes you wonder if they have read them themselves....
Oct 10th 2008 1:26PM In before Vlad whining that whatever will be said on the panels actually is already copyrighted by some other site.
Oct 10th 2008 1:21PM Ah, the Internet... where douchbags can live out their urge to be asshats true to their douchebag nature, without having to take responsibility for their inability to handle real people face to face.
Aug 19th 2008 10:06PM "Maybe they should just make one giant button for us to press and let the game select the spell for us. Because, you know, having to press more than one button takes all the fun out of the game and makes it way too hard."
They've already done that. It is called Chain Heal for shamans, and in WotLK, Circle of Healing will also be made a "smart heal" (allowing for dumb healers).
Aug 19th 2008 10:03PM In reply to jasonlotito's comment:
"Moreso, down ranking really just dumbed down play in PvE. Sorry, but spamming down ranked heals an entire fight is not skillful in anyway."
Good sir, that comment is dumbing down the debate.
Good healers have not been spamming down ranked heals and entire fight. Dumb ones have. Good healers have been mixing a wide range of ranks of their heals. Even when chain casting heals on a tank, choosing the appropriate level of the heals is not trivial. Rank 5 or rank 3? Being able to know what ranks to use, and also when during a fight to "gear up" or "gear down" the ranks has been a signum of skilled healers.
Furthermore, choosing appropriate sized heals for the damage the target has taken (or, when precasting, is likely to take before the heal lands) surely has everything to do with skillfull play. Being forced to cast the highest possible rank in every situation however, now THAT is dumbing down the game.
No matter how you put it, having a toolbox of 15 healing spells and losing 10 of them in a whim by the devs, is dumbing down the game for healers. Sure, there may have been bad healers who refused to use more than 5 (or 2) of his tools even before this change, but that is hardly a reason to force more skillful players to also use a radically limited set of tools. When someone has taken 3000 damage, we will be forced to heal them for 6000, half of which is overhealing, because the small heal (the downranked one) of 3000 no longer exists.
And this is why good healers are upset about the downranking change, while bad healers don't really care.
Aug 9th 2008 6:28AM hey Alex, you forgot the FANTASTIC buff to one of our core spells, Mind Soothe! This amazing glyph will certainly swing everything in the favour of all priests, shadow and other. In fact, I think the Glyph of Mind Soothe might be a bit OP and will cause excessive stacking of priests in raids and PvP.
Jul 29th 2008 7:55AM Looks like female blood elfs aren't going to be the skinniest chicks in the game anymore.
Jul 29th 2008 7:38AM "There are times where stacking defense is a good idea, but in general it's not needed once you hit the cap"
But remember that the cap is higher at level 75 than at level 70. If you still are wearing your TBC epics, chances are that you have dropped below the cap when hitting 75. The additional defense on the blue ones will come in quite handy I think.
