Aug 27th 2010 10:29PM For my 2 cents, the article turned me off trying a Moonkin in Cata with its really negative, world-is-ending tone. I don't know really focus on the numbers for my classes at this point, since with the introduction of Mastery they can pretty quickly tweak them to balance (aha) things out. If the damage isn't enough when Eclipse has proc'd, they can change the Mastery conversion... If Eclipse needs to proc faster, they can change the gains. There's all sorts of things that can easily be adjusted without significantly changing mechanics.

TLDR: Have a little faith, and lighten the mood around here.

Jul 10th 2010 12:55AM On the control aspect, would it help if they made hitting 95% trigger an activated ability?

Eclipse: Exhausts your Solar or Lunar energy, whichever is greater. Solar: increases your nature damage by 20% for 15 seconds. Lunar: increases your arcane damage by 20% for 15 seconds. 15 second cooldown.

Activating at 95% means you could go over a little, and even if you didn't want to activate it immediately you could reposition or finish moving before the bar decays back to deactivating the ability. I'm thinking similar to how the Terrokar Forest towers have a bit of scope for not being completely full, but still being in the acceptable range for 'Alliance'/'Horde'.

On the charges idea, that reminds me of like a mini-Combustion.

I think to get back to the changing up the spells far more frequently, it'd have to function similar to Arcane Blast; casting Nature spells gives you a stacking 20% buff to your next Arcane spell (max 3 stacks), and vice versa. That sounds like it'd get very complex fast though...

Jul 4th 2010 12:20AM I'd like a bit longer delay before each one disappears, possibly not even disappearing until closed manually so you could hover over the icon for the tooltip. Just a thought.

Jul 4th 2010 12:17AM Early Frost: think levelling talent. Frostbolt x 3 on a mob, run, loot, run, Frostbolt x 3 on next mob, etc. Good to get that fast Frost off first. Alternatively, think Frostfire Bolt -> Fast Frostbolt opener combo.

May 16th 2010 5:24AM I wasn't implying the whole group is in fresh 80 gear... though I guess if the tank's fresh too, yes hold off the AoE.
