Jan 22nd 2010 3:50AM Indeed I have, and I can't deny that they are very similar in many way. But WotLK wasn't the first movie/cutscene I saw someone doing that either.
I'm not denying the possibility that they have ripped it off, but we need to keep some integrity and realise that there's an equal possibility that they just made a blue trailer with ice where he looks into the glacier. While a great deal of people have seen the WotLK trailer, the world is a big place enough for many not to have seen it. Not everything we read on the internet is fact.
I do admit though, having a russian spoof with an ice skater is the more humorous alternative.

One quote from Mr. Kotick strikes me:
"I was talking to [Blizzard founder] Mike Morhaime the other day and I said, 'You know, I could have bought you for seven million and instead it was seven billion.' [Laughs]
He said, 'Yeah, could you imagine if I had just held out for the seven billion instead of the seven million?'”
Jan 21st 2010 5:09PM So, they make a commercial about a product called "Glacier Ice" in CG with a famous ice skater. Of course this must be a rip off from the Wrath of the Lich King intro, I mean, it has ice in it! The proof are irrefutable!
May 15th 2009 4:07PM "... the developers are already hotfixing a change to compensate for it (something they have not done for other classes that have demonstrated DPS loss in Ulduar)"
Actually they have, pre-emptively for the paladins with excorcism. They knew that ret palas needed it to keep their DPS up, so they changed it to work on all targets.
Sep 16th 2008 10:57AM Is the Zboard an amazing gaming board? No. Is it a good keyboard? Yeah, definitely.
I bought it as a toy back when I had some spare cash for the original WoW keyset. It's nice to look at but the functions aren't that practical. Granted, the newest drivers vastly widens the use since you can now program every button the way you want.
But the quality of the keyboard itself is why I love it. Even if I couldn't switch out the keypads I'd still buy it. I was very suprised with the quality of it and I'll probably not get a keyboard in many years.
Though, the same is pobably true about the keypads. Unless I feel like spending money on the WotLK one for the sheer geekiness, it depends on how it looks and feels. :)
Aug 9th 2008 4:08PM There's still some nasty bugs with the appearance. If you select a troll and scroll through the faces, half of them will end up... Faceless. I mean, blank, nothing, zip. There's also a weird bug where you somteimes can pick a certain haircolor, and all of a sudden you can't on some races. I'm pretty sure this will get fixed rather soon though as these are very apparent bugs.
Jul 23rd 2008 4:31AM Ah, Kara pugs... I remember the first time I downed Curator. I had recently left my old guild as an officer (drama!) and was at the moment guildless. Seeing how it was harder to get groups I spent more time than usual in the LFG channel when I saw someone looking for a healer. Now, I was on my protection paladin but the healing gear was good enough to keep up with at least the first half of the instance. I told the PuG that and they took me in to heal.
What happened next still makes me laugh. The MT realised that I wasn't Holy and started making a fuss about it. I said I could leave the raid if he wanted so they could get a proper healer, but he just left before the raid even started. Fortunately, my tanking gear was better than him, so I ended up being the MT.
Half the PuG was from the same guild and was leading the raid, and I kept giving constructive hints to them during our course to Attumen. They seemed to like it and learn from it, and all of a sudden I was the raid leader. XD
We pushed on, and although there were a few mistakes and errors from all of us, we were able to get to Curator and kick his mechanical behind. Glorious.
Since then I'm a lot more positive about PuGs, both in 5-mans and raid. :)
