Feb 26th 2009 4:50PM I see a lot of good opinions and a lot of bad ones, but in my own personal opinion this is really really REALLY not needed, especially so soon. Of course people who have gotten it or are in really high end guilds don't care, they aren't concerned with the lower tier guilds and all that, only with themselves. But the mentality that they should take two of the mounts that many people want out because of this is just ludicrous. There are people still aspiring to get it, and taking it out before hand and just inputting new ones is stupid in my humble opinion. They should have made a separate category for the new mounts-and yes, some people want to make note that these are rewards for the better players. There are far more people who play this game who aren't part of the major raiding circuit then there are people who are ALL WAYS raiding. And even then some that raid aren't even interested, and in the long run, you are not going to get that many of these mounts compared to how many people actually PLAY on a server at any given time. SO trying to say that they are trying to keep them happy is redundant, since they are just a minor percentage of the actual WoW gaming queue. This is, suffice to say, a horrible thing for them to do this early in the expansion. At least the bear was around quite a bit longer I believe, its been so long I can't even recall. I really hope they don't take them out as soon as the new patch hits, or else there are going to be many, MANY pissed off players-myself included. I honestly could care less about the "people who worked hard and got it before everyone else" reason, as i'm sure quite a few other people are in the same mindset. This isn't about them, this is about the hundreds of thousands and millions of other players who are NOT them and probably will be upset by this news, just like when they removed the Amani War bear and anything else Blizzard has mucked up because stuff becomes too "easy" for the "superior" players of their gaming world.
Nov 10th 2008 8:03AM Despite the fact this mount frightens me, posting because it would be the closest thing to a baby Murloc I could fathom getting. *shakes fist*
Nov 7th 2008 1:20PM Going to hawk Walmart (2-3 hours before hand), because we want to get a Collector's edition and we were PCSing at the time and by the time we got to the state we were staying in, Blizzard had all ready stopped all the retailers from selling pre-orders of WotLK Collector's editions to my horror.
Either way, can only hope Wally World has it- back when BC came out they actually did and there was hardly a line as well. I hope we have the same luck here, even though this is a completely different state then the one we got it(BC Collector's Edition) initially.
Crossing fingers...but we did talk to another game store in the area who put the Collector's edition on our "wishlist" so if they get more then 2 (yes, only 2 were reserved at the place) then we have a good chance getting one from there if Walmart doesn't work out.
Sep 24th 2008 3:05PM I am a little confused by the reply-I am also a little tired too....
I was under the assumption people who go to the Barbershops can change their hair color and hairstyle.
My main gripe is that Tauren cannot...we get to change our "horns" instead of our hair. I just really wanted a white mane for RP purposes on my Tauren Shaman(I love her to death!)...but alas...no can do. Unless they changed it...but i'm doubtful because everything i've looked at still points to the horns.
It's just weird that I can alter my horns so they are wider or longer...which doesn't make much sense to me considering they are "bound" to my skull.
Sep 12th 2008 10:43AM Blah. Didn't get one either...just found out about this massive influx too, hehe. Meh, some people have all the luck. :P
Sep 6th 2008 12:46PM Wow! It's nice to see these swords really are quite big...as someone stated already, I wasn't sure if they would be miniature or what. We will have to get one and post it on the wall for all time! Hehe.
Anywho, as for all the harsh comments...
Honestly, who cares? You? These people are having fun...and LARPing? I've known a few myself (never tried, and never will) and this is NOT "LARPing". Sheesh people, its just a bunch of excited people who got a nice replica sword and wanted to show it off so people could see it. Posing for the camera with a sword doesn't make you a LARPer. Why are some people getting so damn butt hurt about it? Gonna quit the game because some guys are showing off the swords and being happy about it? Please. What the heck is wrong with you all? Have you gotten so mature that anything fun is just blasphemy? I would hope you play this horribly addicting game for fun-away from the outside world spending hours and hours grinding rep/honor/etc and crawling raid dungeons to the wee hours of the morning. Can't forget mindlessly killing lowbies and causing a ruckus via Pvp as well! And you come off trying to sound all high and mighty because this looks "nerdy" to you? In most circles, the fact most of us stay indoors to play the game would be registered even nerdier, I would guess. And as some stated already, at least they are outside. :P WoW = SRS BSNS!!
Anyway, congrats on the swords guys who I don't know! Swing 'em around to your heart's content!
Though I am interested in knowing...what the heck is that little black thing on the tip of the blade? I don't recall seeing that on the real sword...or perhaps it is just the lighting?
Sep 6th 2008 12:01PM A lot of the comments answered me question. Hehe, was going to say, I thought these things were demons...
Anywho, not sure if I want one of these for a pet-I guess that depends on if they come out with a wider color palette. I can only remember seeing green ones...but its been awhile.
Aug 19th 2008 4:53PM Hehe! This was a fun read! Breanni is awesome! I love the website and use it myself to keep track of my horrible collection...can't wait till the expansion; going to free up so much bag space. There are quite a few vendor pets I am going to be picking up as well that I bypassed for space on my main...oh happy days!
On a regular basis I tell friends and guildies (who have started collecting) about the site; since it is the best of the best when it comes to actual vanity pets in game. Even if you don't collect a bunch of them, its still fun to see all the pets and to keep track of your own.
I agree with what Breanni said about the pets being something "fun and fresh". When a new pet comes out, especially one that has to be farmed-it keeps me occupied. The only pet I pretty much had to get from the AH that was a BOE was the Hyacinth Macaw...my luck on farming that was horrible. Luckily a friend of mine on Alliance side picked one up for me from Stormwind AH. xD
Only thing I can complain about is, yes, that dang Sprite Darter! So unfair Horde can't get it...really should implement a Horde only pet too. It's only fair. :P A baby Kodo! Yes...yes...that would be perfect...
Aug 2nd 2008 4:23AM I for one am more then a little disappointed... I was hoping i'd be able to actually change hairstyles a bit more then, oh, horns. (Yes I play a Tauren) So much for that and hoping we'd actually be able to pick hair color or at least change it. *sigh* Wishful thinking.
Jul 23rd 2008 10:07PM A friend of mine alerted me to this the other day, and I just now got around to commenting. This is probably the best thing ever (I noticed people have already said that. XD) and i'm so very glad i'll be able to pick up all the other pets I haven't bought, because I didn't have the space for them all. Madness! Now, to figure out what to put in all the empty space I will have...thats like, over 70 slots in all. @_@; Squee!
