Shadow Priest talent build for Patch 3.0.2 {WoW}

Oct 18th 2008 1:54PM I agree that Shadow Affinity is a waste of points, but unfortunately that part of the Shadow tree is a bit awkward. I didn't want to put more than 1 pt in Improved Mind Blast, and then Mind Flay and Imp. Psy. Scream couldn't take enough points to get me over that 15 pt requirement, so I had to go back down the tree and place 1 pt in Affinity.

Shadow Priest talent build for Patch 3.0.2 {WoW}

Oct 18th 2008 1:39PM My build is almost exactly the same except I only put 1 point in Improved Mind Blast. You almost never get the benefit of having 5 points because unless the cooldown us 7.5s or 6s, you're going to be stepping all over your global cooldown. Place only 1 or 4 points in it. You probably don't need 5.

I also don't have any points in Focused Mind.

Instead, I took Silence, Imp. Psy. Scream, Psy. Horror and filled out Vampiric Embrace.

PvE to PvP paid transfers now available {WoW}

Sep 11th 2008 6:19PM To be honest, World of Warcraft never ever had real, honest-to-god PvP servers, not with all the safe zones currently around. You can't even be attacked in your own capital. World PvP is slowly being neutered anyway with the story approach they're taking with each progressive expansion. There have been solid MMO's released with consistent large scale battles in the world zones, WoW never met that bar. If you like PvP, this game really isn't for you.

I disagree with the change, of course, but not for the reaons many have stated. I just think it dilutes the Blizz brand, kind of just emphasizing the point that they really aren't their own company anymore. They think they're helping but really are just killing WoW by the death of a thousand cuts. You see it in past MMO's, too, where the devs can't seem to stop themselves from frustrating various segments of their player population over and over again.

You guys who are so disappointed, were you really seeing PvP in this game going anywhere amazing? Those of us waiting around for the next great "PvP" experience can hang around WoW for awhile longer. Enjoy the PvP that there is. WoW doesn't have the last word on MMO's or PvP. And when a great new game comes you'll be happy to leave WoW. Just enjoy WoW as much as you can while its in its heyday.

Only good things await us gamers in the future, regardless of what ya want. :)

Encrypted Text: Assassination in Wrath {WoW}

Aug 14th 2008 4:46AM Kind of funny seeing so many people complain how OP Subtlety rogues are and then talking as if Hunger for Blood is something those same rogues will get. It's a different tree, guys. Honestly, how often do people see dagger rogues in BG's and then were terrified of them? I'm always the only mutilate rogue I see in PvP.

Deleting toons to make room for Wrath {WoW}

Jul 24th 2008 12:03AM If they do allow transfers from PvE to PvP, they should be conditional. Maybe only allow a transfer if that person already has leveled a toon on a PvP server of equal or higher level than the PvE one he wants to transfer. I can support this kind of transfer for players like Zach who have maxed out 70's already on the servers they wish to transfer to.

But, if transfers are unconditional...Joe Shmoe on a PvE server simply wants to show up on a PvP realm as an instant badass, then I say no-go.
