Blue Posts and Other WoW News: The heart of the MoP talent system {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2012 4:37AM Oh look... facebook users... I mean post-population-explosion WoW fanboys. What are you doing here? Get back to battle.net tweeting how much your latest raid pug sucks!

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: The heart of the MoP talent system {WoW}

Jan 21st 2012 4:28AM Actually... I should have written that to say, "I used to care about what Activision did to WoW... etc." Because, when I look back on it all, that's when things started a slight decline that has accelerated over time. I can remember asking the question, "Why do the WoW forums have advertisements now? Isn't 6 million people's $14.99 a month enough?" THAT was Activision, because no one at Blizzard was greedy enough to even think of it before they got involved.

Jan 21st 2012 4:15AM I used to care about what Blizzard did to WoW, and then I took an arrow in the knee...

Choose My Adventure: Au revoir, adventurers {WoW}

Nov 9th 2011 10:54AM I dunno... moviewatch hasn't been around in a while either. They even missed Wowcrendor's latest: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIy2gZ0DaYw

Of course missing that one could be a political move on the part of wowinsider too.

5 reasons you should love classic World of Warcraft {WoW}

Nov 1st 2011 3:18PM Agreed, but flaming and trolling go both ways. Most comment systems today are used not only to squelch trolls, but to squelch dissenting opinions. Don't believe me? Go look at my comment on page one. I went out of my way to say "my reasons for leaving are my own" and "I hope everyone who is looking forward to MoP enjoys it very much." But, alas, the post was voted down, because what I think isn't popular.

I'm just glad we don't have an exact mirror of this behavior in society. Because otherwise we'd be back to "silencing the heretics" with public stonings and hangings.

Nov 1st 2011 2:02PM Apologies for the double post... That was supposed to be in reply to my original comment that someone replied to.

5 reasons you should love classic World of Warcraft {WoW}

Nov 1st 2011 2:00PM Because in my browser history, Massively, WowInsider and Joystiq all
come up next to each other because I did at one time read from all
three websites. Today I happened to mis-click wowinsider instead of
massively. I noticed the headline article and decided to give it a
read.

Tell me why then, every time someone has a dissenting opinion here,
someone like you pops up and says "why are you reading the article
then?" You know that playing the game isn't a requirement of stopping
to read something about it, right? I mean, I personally don't enjoy
football, but I do stop and read a headline about a game from time to
time.

Other people have opinions that differ from my own, and I have already
said that I have no problem with that. Might I suggest that next time
you do the same and accept that someone has a different opinion than
yours without you stopping to drop the inquisition on them in
preparation for burning them at the stake.

5 reasons you should love classic World of Warcraft {WoW}

Nov 1st 2011 1:23PM I love classic WoW when the majority of the ideas in the game were Blizzard's.

But, I just can't do it anymore. I know Pandas appeared in the lore some time ago, jokingly or not. However, it simply can't be coincidence that they have chosen RIGHT NOW to bring martial art using pandas to the forefront of the game. It's just more Harrison Jones to me... I didn't mind the little cameo he made in WoTLK. But having half of the zone of Uldum be a re-creation of the Indiana Jones cannon went to far. Warcraft has Brann Bronzebeard, and he was an entirely cool cat on his own. I simply can't play WoW anymore because of the blatant what-is-popular content injection by the current developers.

That said, I hope the current and future fans do enjoy the expansion immensely. My reasons for moving on are entirely personal, and I know that others won't agree and that is okay.

10 days till Skyrim, and I can't wait.
