Oct 1st 2008 10:04AM Affects them financially how? I'm not defending glider, just curious. It doesn't pay for your account for you, it just plays a video game that you pay for.. for you.
Doesn't make sense to me to to pay for a program to play a GAME for you, but I don't see how it hurts Blizzard financially.
Sep 25th 2008 2:49PM It didn't help things that nearly all the marketing was surrounding greenskins and their irritating style of speech... every podcast had what's his name ranting about how much he hated Elves, and all the people who think that rolling Destruction is going to guarantee they won't face the same fate in PVP that they did as Alliance.
Plus the order models look terrible. Even the supposedly good looking elves' face models look like they are all mentally handicapped. The tanks wear dresses? Empire looks decent, but they have the insane looking bright wizards and just plain corny witch hunters. Everything is cooler about Destruction, yet they think things will balance out?
Sep 25th 2008 11:52AM Yes.. it looks almost just like every other touchscreen phone. Almost just like an iPhone!
Sep 25th 2008 10:27AM This plus many alliance think that by choosing Destruction in WAR, it will be the equivalent of choosing Horde in WoW... and by logic think that it means they will roll in RvR. This pretty much guarantees it will end up being the opposite. There are some similarities though, already it looks like the parallel classes for each side are set up the same way.. destruction are geared more offensively while order are geared more defensively. This was pretty disappointing to see repeated in yet another game.
Not to mention the fact that most of the marketing done for WAR was done from a destruction perspective... all the irritating greenskin-talk "waaaaauugh" stuff and the most outspoken devs seeming to side with destruction from the beginning probably all have a big influence.
Sep 25th 2008 10:05AM That's why you use your mouse to move. Use your keyboard for skills and to type.
Sep 25th 2008 9:58AM I just don't see how you can have as in-depth an experience without a mouse and keyboard. And if you add some type of peripheral keyboard or mouse to a console well... it's pretty much a computer at that point.
Controllers work better for certain types of games, but I don't see how you can do an MMO with one unless you dumb down the experience incredibly. Can you imagine trying to play a Shaman with a 5 button controller?
Sep 19th 2008 9:33AM Exactly.. just because they announced a date doesn't mean it's written in stone. They can do whatever they want. "Hey, we're not ready yet... new release date: 2-10-09" and it will still break records.
Sep 17th 2008 3:13PM Once again grossly overestimating the market for these games (the market excluding WoW of course).
I know he has to play his role as the crazy, over-excited Brit in an extra-medium T-shirt, but it kind of hurts the credibility towards all the great things he says about the game when he makes big claims like this that aren't taken seriously.
Sep 11th 2008 5:41PM It's actually a buff. It now works on every attack, not just crits.
Sep 11th 2008 5:39PM This is beta. They are testing out different ideas. If they don't work, these changes will not be included for launch. Be sure to give Blizzard feedback with the surveys on how you feel and not just complain on random forums/comment sections.
