Mike Morhaime: Real names will not be required on official Blizzard forums {WoW}

Jul 9th 2010 1:43PM Get on the horn and spread the word! We know how to take Blizzard down!

For every nerf, for every patch change we don't like, We now know how to change it!

Thank you Blizzard! You've shielded your front and left your back exposed! Mwa ha ha!

Blizzard's creative development team answers tons of lore questions {WoW}

Jun 30th 2010 3:51PM I believe the Blue Post was simply along the lines, "How do you know you haven't met Tyr already?" The thread then hypothesized that Vezax was Tyr. The blue didn't confirm anything, even that we had met Tyr. It was extremely well worded in a sneaky kind of way.

The Queue: Catnap {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2010 7:28PM Wasn't Arthas' slaughter of Stratholme one of the contributing factors that helped Medivh convince Jaina to sail to Kalimdor? Thus sparing all those that went with her the fate of the plague AND help defeat the Burning Legion.

Drama Mamas: We hate hate {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2010 6:12PM Calling someone...

"Gay": Offensive. Regardless.
"Retard": Offensive. Regardless.
"Insane": Completely Acceptable.

As someone who was born with a "mental imbalance" and had one hell of a time making it 27 years with it. I've had to take a long step back and just laugh at what's considered uncouth language. Makes me glad I've never known what it is to be "sane".

I'm not saying because someone can call me crazy without the slightest tint of regret gives me carte blanche to do and say as I please. But if you want to take a step back and really look at what words can be offensive, and are used offensively, one can only laugh at how many are perfectly fine, and others are actively provoking a lynching. Wait, that's offensive. Guillotine? Too French. Military Tribunal?

Ultimately, it won't stop. If you can convince the word "gay" or "rape" to disappear from the world completely, something else will come to replace them. Someone will always say them. It doesn't meet you shouldn't meet them with some statement about how it offends you, but don't expect to change minds over a forum, a thread, a comment or an in-game whisper or global channel. The best you can do is ignore the offender, and remind yourself that there's nearly 7 billion people on this planet, and I'd wager that jerks with a superiority complex aren't the majority of them. :D

WoW in the running for Game of the Decade {WoW}

Dec 7th 2009 10:10PM "Complexity and graphics aren't what makes a game fun. I'd argue that Tetris is better than 99.9% of the games ever made."

25 years old. Incredibly simple. Hopelessly addicting. And still fun as hell.
I never have to think twice when people ask my opinion about the best game ever made.

WoW in the running for Game of the Decade {WoW}

Dec 7th 2009 10:06PM Final Fantasy VII will win.

It doesn't matter that it wasn't made this decade. If it's a poll, and it's about games:

Final Fantasy VII will win.

Patch 3.3: Fishing pool guarantees and what it means for the market {WoW}

Dec 1st 2009 10:21PM So if it just changes it so you can't get trash out of pools in 3.3... What does that mean for the non-pool dwelling Bonescale Snapper market?

Around Azeroth: All heads must bow {WoW}

Nov 21st 2009 4:21PM I told a friend of mine just last week I was thinking about rolling a Death Knight for RP since I had finally struck up a backstory that I felt wasn't 100% cliche. First place she suggested? Moon Guard. And I've heard not a bad word about it. oO; (Except the ever present talk of ERP, but I hear that talk about every and any RP server.)

Now just to figure out which side to play on, I was going to join her on the Horde, but dang, these Knights have caught my attention for swinging Alliance on this one. Hmm...

Cataclysm: The exhaustive list of old-world changes (so far) {WoW}

Nov 9th 2009 6:55PM Let's Review the timeline for WotLK:

March 08: 2.4 is released.
April 08: WotLK F&F Alpha begins.
July 08: WotLK Beta begins.
Late October 08: WotLK World Event begins
November 08: WotLK launches.

So if 3.3 were to say drop at the beginning of December, and Blizz were to start Alpha testing in January, we could have Cataclysm out by July. (This Summer... The World... ENDS! ...sorry)

Blizzard launches real money in-game pet store {WoW}

Nov 4th 2009 7:33PM Zan, I noticed you put "complete" in quotes. Which I'm going to assume you mean complete as something other than the literal meaning.

So I must inquire in respect to your complaint (as a fellow achievement hunter/pet collector), how do you define it? Does "Complete" include the TCG pets? Does it include the CE pets? Does it include the Blizzcon pets?

If "complete" includes these, you are already spending some money aside from the $15 a month to create your definition of a "complete" collection.

If "complete" does not include these, then simply also lump in Lil' KT and the Pandaren with the "not included" portion and continue to farm away for more pets in game.

Personally, I fall into the latter of the two. I just simply admit that there will be pets that I will not be able to obtain. I do not consider them part of the collection I'm trying to obtain. I wish I could, but I can't. In terms of those willing to spend the money to have an advantage in their pet collecting ways. Yes, they do. Not in a game-breaking way. But in the same way that I can't afford to go to Blizzcon and others can kind of way.

TL;DR: "Complete"-ness is in the eye of the beholder. Still sucks that I'm broke. :D
