World of Warcraft Patch 3.3.5 Patch Notes {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2010 11:26AM Tony isn't trolling. You just don't have a legitimate response, Kay(lin).

Totem Talk: Cooldown management in the Lower Spire {WoW}

Jun 20th 2010 11:39AM I think it does work differently for Fire Ele, but for things like the DK Garg and Ghoul, you want all buffs on you, then you pop them. They work off the snapshot of stats method.

Plus, grats Big Crits on the SM!

Raid Rx: Is addon-less healing possible? {WoW}

Jun 19th 2010 12:14PM Sorry, I don't want to be the other healer in your raids. You may think using Grid is a crutch for me, but when I can easily see everything going on around me (and react to it) and you can't, I become your crutch.

The evolution of raid design in Cataclysm {WoW}

Jun 18th 2010 3:05AM How will we fill each slot? If the same loot drops in 10 and 25, we are going to have such crowded loot tables. With different gear from each, it allows for pants from 25 man, and gloves from 10. Unless they completely homogenize the different types of gear and stats, then we will have 6-7 (at least) pieces of gear on every boss table.

Plus, we can't just fill half our slots from badge gear at even a moderate pace most likely, because of the badge caps.

Jun 18th 2010 2:56AM But that's the thing. How is 4 lockouts for ToC a chore for you? If someone wants to do ToC 10, ToC25, ToGC10, and ToGC25 EACH week, how does that hurt you?

You weren't going to run the other 2-3 versions anyway, so them not being there doesn't affect you, but it hurts the enjoyment of those who would. For anyone who doesn't raid every lockout available, why does it matter if there are multiple tier lockouts? It doesn't affect them.

The evolution of raid design in Cataclysm {WoW}

Jun 18th 2010 2:50AM Numb. The Hardcore raiders are the ones who want to run both 10 and 25 because it is the fastest way to gear up both through drops, and through emblems. Plus, it is the best way to learn the fights faster.

I've been running 10 and 25 versions of most of the instances, almost every week. I've even done a few weeks of ToGC, along with ToC.

I wish I could run raids more. I don't want a shared lockout. The average style of hardcore player feels the same, I would imagine. They love raiding, and the benefits having separate lockouts provide. The new change is catering to casual players, and there is really no argument to that.

Those who can't run 10 and 25, this is benefiting. For whose who can, it gives nothing.

Lichborne: Demystifying Death Grip {WoW}

Jun 15th 2010 3:32PM How many heroic bosses cleave or have dragon breath? 2, 3?
You won't pull threat from Army.
Get over it.

Scattered Shots: Stacking cooldowns and procs {WoW}

Cata isn't coming out for months. That's almost forever in WoW terms.

And way less people play BM versus Survival or Marks. Plus Fire is currently top Mage spec.

The Queue: No time for games {WoW}

Jun 14th 2010 6:02PM ' "I know that 'downranking' (or whatever it is called) is not an optimal idea for leather, mail, and plate wearers.' "

This statement is 100% incorrect. For Holy Paladins, almost every piece of gear in ICC we want is mail haste/mp5 gear.

Warriors and Rets have quite a few pieces of agi leather and mail that is awesome for them. (The bracers from 25 Saurfang for example)

Good players realize the benefits of downranking, and you downrank to achieve max performance.

Officers' Quarters: Emotionally invested {WoW}

Jun 14th 2010 5:12PM WoW is about your own fun first. If you don't enjoy raiding with your current guild, and have other options, you should take them.
