Aug 19th 2008 8:36AM My new druid (hoping to hit 70 before the expansion) will drop skinning to pick up Inscription to go along with herbalism.
My 70 hunter will keep skinning and mining - lucrative AND new innate bonuses!
Aug 8th 2008 1:15PM It must be a pretty high chance, because I won one AV, got the Tabard. Won the next AV, and got the Medallion (they are mailed to you, so there's no NPC to hunt down and mug for the goodies).
The tabard is a cute idea, but I'll be wearing my Shattered Sun tabard instead.
The dragon, however, is probably the most amazing thing I've seen them throw in as a 'cool extra'. It certainly beats the pudgey whelplings! It also doesn't have a loud flapping sound effect, so I won't feel guilty having it out on instance runs. I just found a pet to play 'fetch' with, when the expansion hits!
Aug 6th 2008 9:07AM Very nice, thanks for the preview!
I do have one question. Have you noticed if they're making use of the ghostly Cat Spirit in Moonglade?
Aug 5th 2008 9:28AM Yay. Knaak.
Does anyone know if the efforts of "Mike Wellman, Dan Jolley, Carlos Olivares, Troy Lewter, and Brian Yang" make this purchase worthwhile despite him?
Aug 4th 2008 11:44AM Has anyone checked to see if there are any changes around Uldum in Tanaris, or the dragonkin-infested place in the Wetlands? What about the gates surrounded by refugees in that zone south-west of Tirisfal glades (the zone name escapes me).
Are the devs secretly making modifications to these places that are very out-of-the-way because it's just a lore-trap?
Aug 4th 2008 9:06AM I had one AV where there were 6 horde up until the near end of the battle. Alliance saw a huge amount of honor, but it was ultimately disappointing.
The next, we were steamrolled by a full premade. Lots of fighting, but very frustrating, as the Alliance splintered and quit almost on sight.
But I've never really noticed one where people ignored the fight around them the way you're describing. That doesn't sound like much fun either.

It costs them a shard to summon anything but the imp, doesn't it? I'd rather not have to collect More Stuff in order to be able to whistle for my pet.

"Why would it have anything to do with achievements? If only a hunter can get it? "
It could be achievements that only a hunter could accomplish. After taming 15 pets, maybe this would be unlocked.
However, they've made a point of saying that achievements will only grant you things like tabards and titles, and not anything that will add an advantage. So I think linking it to achievements is inaccurate.
Now Inscription, that's another matter. We've seen a lot of neat things for Druids from Inscription so far.
Jul 31st 2008 9:12AM Ghostcrawler's second comment doesn't really clarify it for me. I've heard, many times, that Blizz sees hunters as only needing one pet slot, and the two others are 'bonus'. Reading it with a cynical eye, Ghostcrawler's follow up sounds like he is, once again, assuring hunters that their current three slots are sufficient.
Jul 29th 2008 11:51AM New pets are available to tame. Screenshots are coming in of oversized Devilsaur pets. My question is, what about the more unique monsters hidden away?
Is The Beast (remember UBRS?) now an option?
