Dec 10th 2010 4:41PM You are exactly right.
Curse like all other web sites contracts out advertising for revenue. They often do not screen all ads that play through the advertising banner. ANY advertising that is played through the FLASH banner can be compromised.
It happens every day. As a matter of fact it happened to my computer a few days ago when I was surfing some websites looking for medical information. I went to a web site which should have been a legitimate company selling a product. This site had a FLASH banner for advertising. My AV program threw a warning on the screen and showed that the FLASH banner was trying to install a trojan. Luckily it was blocked and no harm occurred.
Long story short, any program that allows unrestricted FLASH content to run from an untrusted source can infect your computer. This includes 70-90% of the websites out there today.

Nov 12th 2010 11:14AM Welcome to Atlanta! We have a saying here. "You can't get to hell without going through Hartsfield."
Sadly it is all too true. Ask any frequent flyer.
Jul 28th 2010 2:23PM I did the undercutting and material buyout bit on my server for a while. It didn't take long before I had my guild bank and my personal bank stuffed to the gills with raw mats.
It took me over a month to move all of the mats back onto the market as crafted materials. I have to say it wasn't worth it except for the pleasure of running the gold farmers out of that particular market segment. I ended up making enough money to recoup my investment at about 10x profit over my initial investment.
Now if I could only do that in real life...
Jul 14th 2010 3:47PM Do you think that WoW will ever bundle the older expansions (Vanilla, BC, Wrath) into one package and give them out free to the customers who never purchased them like City of Heroes did with City of Villains? It's going to get pretty cumbersome to buy all of them to start a new account even with the Battlechest.
Jun 17th 2010 2:33PM I used SBF for quite a awhile until it started having issues from it not being updated. I then tried EBB with poor results. I am now using Bison which works pretty good out of the chute. It's still not exactly what I would like, but it's close to what I want and it is up to date.
Jun 7th 2010 10:36PM Likewise. Not nearly enough useful features.
1) No history of past auctions.
2) At least during beta I couldn't post multiples of things such as bags that don't stack.
3) No auto fill of past pricing even if I just posted an auction for the same item.
There are a few more things I didn't like, but those are my top three. I'll use my $2.99 for something more fulfilling. Like a six pack of Dew.
May 25th 2010 12:09PM On my server bags are still a big commodity item. I can turn 50%+ profit over the raw mats by buying out all of the cloth and storing until the weekend. Last weekend I made over 600 gold with very little work on my part other than running to the guild bank and posting new bags that I had made during the previous week.
