May 4th 2009 1:31PM As a confirmed pugger, if that happened to me, there is no way I would ever help that guild out again. Just like if I were to bail on a guild after an hour I wouldn't expect to ever be invited back.

More and more I find myself becoming a Puggers right's activist. If I am joining in on a guild's run, for the duration of that run I expect to be treated as a member of the guild. I also feel I need to earn that treatment by being prepared, knowing the fights, having consumables, and not standing in a fire.

Blizz is on the right track. The goal is to have you lose 50% of the time, regardless of how good you are, in a world where everyone wants to be a unique snowflake, this may be a bitter pill to swallow. If you want to dominate, go twink.

I understand the desire for greater transparency, but frankly, the player base doesn't deserve it. By keeping things hidden Blizz is probably hoping to delay the inevitable exploiting of the system just a little bit longer.

The article says its no fun to win and end up with a losing record, but this is a short term view. If you are having artificial success because you are playing the clippers, it will shortly be followed by a long string of failure because you are playing the Celtics. Is it better to play .5oo and have your rating sink to where it should be so you can still play .500, or should you just be forced to lose 20 straight matches before you become competitive?

After all, if I had wanted to heal by pressing one button i would have rolled a Paladin.

Oct 21st 2008 5:09PM This is the second post in the past few weeks that seems to forget there was a time, pre-BC where you could level through PvP in WoW. As I was leveling my first toon, I would grind to x6 and then use token turn ins to get to x0, and there were several others who were doing the same.

So basically, my point is, Blizzard had a way to level through PvP years before WAR was sniffing Beta.

Sep 24th 2008 7:07PM ummm, Stoneclaw can multiple moonfires let alone a couple of wand hits. It is unclear from your post how much damage other totems will absorb, but this has the potential to be a huge buff, for all three specs, but especially for protecting mana tide.
