Ghostcrawler and the "hybrid tax" {WoW}

Oct 27th 2009 4:14PM It's been said already, but to reiterate:

Good players playing hybrids will outperform average players playing pure classes. It's just how it works. Good players perform well no matter what they are playing.

As long as QQ from crappy players doesn't lead Blizzard to make unnecessary nerfs I'll be happy. I have played every class to at least 60, and I prefer hybrids.

US PvP free character transfers {WoW}

Jan 15th 2009 3:14PM And to all of you on those destination realms:

Get ready for queue times and get ready for the social environment of your server to drastically change in a big hurry.

Tortheldrin just fell victim to this transfer strategy.

If you're not already out of trade and general chat, I'd suggest leaving now... before everyone starts yelling at each other for:

1. Causing the new queue/lag problems
2. Sucking for being on a slow-progression server
3. Whatever other teenage angst they have pent up

If you are transferring to get away from Queues and/or latency issues be warned: you will not get away from them. You will simply be moving to a new server where everyone is pissed.

Tattooed for the Horde {WoW}

Dec 29th 2008 4:30PM The Tattoo is nice. Next time please photoshop out the shoulder zits. Nasty!

Breakfast Topic: Should raid progression even be tracked anymore? {WoW}

Dec 4th 2008 10:56AM No joke. Shut the hell up. This is the kind of crap that could make me remove this RSS feed from my reader.

Updated News: Wrath to be playable at 9pm PST across all North American realms {WoW}

Nov 12th 2008 5:22PM He's gone. We went in two nights ago and went up to kill him after. Attumen. He wasn't there.

Totem Talk: Totem Consolidation and Totem Expansion {WoW}

Sep 25th 2008 3:39PM Oh wait, I had my own schools mixed up. Yes, Stoneclaw would protect grounding -- which is air. However, in my experience I drop grounding at the last second, so it doesn't need protection typically.

Totem Talk: Totem Consolidation and Totem Expansion {WoW}

Sep 25th 2008 3:34PM Grounding and Stoneclaw are from the same "school". They are both earth totems. You can only have one earth totem down at a time. So, no, Stoneclaw will not protect Grounding because they can't both be down at the same time.

Anti-Aliased: PvPissed {Massively}

Sep 17th 2008 7:09PM I have 5 70s on a pvp server. One on a pve server. It's not like this "griefing" happens nonstop. In fact in my experience -- which is more extensive than most when it comes to leveling characters -- the griefing is pretty rare. I can't specifically recall any situations that made me think, "those pve carebears have it easy!" In fact there is such a lack of world pvp on pvp servers, I welcome an influx of players who might be looking for such an experience. Maybe they can help bring it back.

I don't understand why some of you have a problem with this change. I mean if we pvpers are so superior it really shouldn't matter if carebears are around anyway.

WoW Insider Show Episode 52: Club Penguin is the WoW-killer {WoW}

Aug 26th 2008 4:49PM Nevermind. You're using Skype. Just got that part of this episode.

WoW Insider Show Episode 52: Club Penguin is the WoW-killer {WoW}

Aug 26th 2008 4:35PM Have you guys tried Skype for recording your remote people? Not sure what you're using now, but obviously a few glitches here and there. A few other podcasts I listen to use Skype for remote individuals.

When playing with friends in 5-mans we typically resort to Skype as well, over Vent (which of course we use for raids).

Other than the audio dropouts, nice work. Good show!
