You know since it was advertised in trade chat it could be considered a binding agreement and failure to recieve said item could be considered scamming. Personally, I'm waiting for some of these people to get their accounts banned. So, please help me on my fight to ban "tools" from trade and screen shot / put in a tick it up : )

Why I think this is important: Well if you can buy for gold, then many of those items are better itemized (and hopefully will remain so) currently than most low level WotLK quest rewards. And since "everyone" is going to be leveling at least a toon come Cataclysm.... well you get the point.

Yea but it does the same damage over 10 seconds. So, if your ignite was for say 1000 damage, it would tick 500 500. If you combusted just that (which would be stupid but makes this example simple), then it would tick 200 200 200 200 200 (assuming it ticks 5 times in 10 seconds). At least that's how I am reading it. So, to me it still seems kind of meh.

Sep 1st 2010 11:58PM This probably won't get read, but in a not so famous book they have spell casters that solely use runes. They tattoo these rune into intricate and complex designs in order to protect themselves.
Enter, The Death Gate Cycle's Patryns. These runes that they use are like syllables. By themselves they mean very basic ideas and get only the very basic of tasks done. Combined you can express complex (I.E. more powerful) spells.
My basic and not thought out idea would be this. To avoid all copyright issues call them rune masters or what have you. You are introduced into this ancient form of the arcane and as you level you "learn" new runes, these combine with ones you already know to produce effects. (Kinda like how warlocks soulstones will work but a bit more involved)
Also, archeology would be awesome to get some "fun" runes like change of colors or something for their spells.
The basic structure would be something like: Base rune - 2or3 attachable modifying runes - cap rune. Base rune being along the lines of: Big, small, fast. Modifying runes: range, area, damage/healing. Cap rune: fast, slow.
So you could have say: Big range healing slow. and you'd be the paladin :P
or: small area damage fast. and get a fans of knife -ish like spell.
Keep in mind all these would require mana and how much would be based upon the runes used. (then again the DK rune cd system might be fun to toy around with)
