Apr 4th 2012 11:38AM Ethereal Soul-Trader. While it's out, it automatically harvests the souls of any xp granting mobs or honor granting players I get a killing blow on. As a pvper, he greaty amuses me when I'm in a battleground. Especially when he steals the soul of a warlock. I even like his quote when he's summoned: "I have arrived. Shall we set to work, then? " It's like he's telling my warrior that it's time to start killing.
Mar 31st 2012 12:23PM I will laugh myself silly if in one of the Dungeons we have to fight the several Sha in the order of fear> anger> hate> suffering.
Mar 28th 2012 11:27AM What pet did you start with on your Panda Hunter?
Mar 26th 2012 5:32PM Also the Giant Rat from Dalaran and Mr. Pinchy.
Mar 21st 2012 11:25AM Would Garrosh need to drink demon blood to become corrupted? I mean, he's been wearing the skull of Mannoroth for a while now. That can't be good for a person.
Mar 21st 2012 11:20AM An interesting thought: a five man heroic where the players travel to the spirit lands in order to bring back people to help them in the fight against Garrosh. Like Cairne and Grom and (if Blizz writes her off by then) Greatmother Greya?
Mar 19th 2012 1:40PM They just covered pet battles briefly on the wowinsider live show. You can challenge people to duels with your pets.
Mar 19th 2012 11:53AM First Plants vs Zombies
Warcraft all the games!
Mar 19th 2012 10:46AM @Dementron: Well, I was more thinking along the lines of battle strategy use for names.
I've seen Hunters in arenas that have named their pets the same as themeselves to cause confusion in Arena pvp.
And since this article does is make sure that Pet Battles haven't gone the way of dance studios and path of the titans, it doesn't clear up mechancially how the battle actually will work.
So I'm still thinking in terms of the first big pet battling game, where you don't see what's coming until it's on the field, and you can try to trick people into giving you the a type advantage by naming something strong against one type as something that would that would be weak against it.
TL/DR: Until we know more about WoW Pet Battles mechanically, I'm worried about "Garrosh is sending out Charmander? I'll use Squirtle! Wait, he named his Pikachu 'Charmander'?! FFFFUUUU...!"
Mar 19th 2012 3:12AM "you will never see the name of the player you're facing off against." What about the name of the pet used? I vaguely remember from them saying at Blizzcon that players would be able to rename their pets. Will people we battle be able to see those name changes?
