Mar 21st 2009 6:50PM Except that there is /plenty/ of shame in failing at it if you aspire to the high end of the raiding spectrum. There are 310% mounts on the line, and The Immortal, as criteria for the Tier 7 Raiding Meta-Achievement, is kind of a big deal in demonstrating that, as a guild, you're 'one of the best'.
It's entirely possible to be 'one of the best' and happen to have really crappy luck with the RNG, or be on a server being held together by wire and spit - If Blizzard is going to define 'progression' in terms of these achievements, it in turn behooves them to design those achievements to be as neutral as possible to the variety of environments in which people attempt them.

Oh, and MDing to the tank (Or boosting the fury warriors DPS) on cooldown, and popping a disarm on cooldown too.
And QQ about the button on a 20 minute cooldown that can get you a raid invite over a rogue in many guilds.
Dec 29th 2008 7:37PM They're making some changes to Wintergrasp in 3.0.8 to encourage Defenders to go on the attack against the towers in the south (signifiant +damage and +Honor buffs for each tower down), which should bring more pvp to the zone as a whole.
