Apr 15th 2010 2:12PM YOU HAVE REACHED THE FRONT OF THE QUEUE!
Fuck yeah, so if you keep the lineup page open, you can reload the page and when it comes back it'll have kept your spot (or maybe I was lucky and got in within the 15 minutes I would have been at the front).
Apr 15th 2010 1:50PM !@#$%?!@#$?
What the #@!$? @#$?@# is the point of queue if the site still dies because of traffic overload?
"Oh, at the time you were put in queue, the website worked fine, so if there was no queue you could have bought the mount. But now, there's too many people in the queue, so the site dies, and you have no way of buying. Tada! Progress!"
This is infuriating.
Apr 28th 2009 4:47PM A paladin says that the legendary healing mace should be given to paladins. Wow, what a surprise.
"Given that the proc seems to favor humongous heals"
lolwut? So, are paladins slotted to be the best healers in the game, bar none? The fact that they have big heals means others can't heal as well, right? I mean, it can't be that the other classes have smaller heals which they cast MORE OFTEN than a paladin casts his heals. Obviously paladins are the best healers and no one else can heal nearly as well and that's why all raid healers are paladins, no druids or shamans or priests to be found.
Wait, they're not. Huh. Well, they cast the biggest single heals, so that must mean that the mace is better for them. I mean, it's a huge damage shield, right? It's not like the smaller, more frequent small heals would proc smaller shields MORE OFTEN, in the end equalizing the amount of damage absorbed. Not at all.
Paladin weapon. Like, duh, obviously.
Apr 21st 2009 3:39PM It really is a very, very slow pace.
Exalted champion is nothing. That's only 7 days. But what about the rewards?
At 5 champion seals per day, it'll take you 20 days to get the mount. Another 8 days for the pet. 10 days for the tabard. 3 days for the banner. That's a total of 41 days to get your rewards, discounting all gear that's available.
48 days of grinding per faction, without skipping a day, to get from start to having the mount, pet, banner and tabard.
That's #$?@#$&?@# slow. That's 240 days of grinding straight up to get all the factions done.
Apr 8th 2009 8:12AM Stupid broken reply button....
Apr 8th 2009 8:11AM Hahahahahahahahahhahaa
Yeah, because obviously you'd expect animals that are brought in to be spayed by their owners to be euthanized instead. That makes so much sense. Of course you should count those! And if someone brings in their pet for advice, you should count that as a pet that wasn't euthanized as well!
You are teh dumb.
Out of all animals PETA took in, they euthanized over 90%. This is fact. Your spinning won't make it otherwise. Pets that are to be spayed aren't counted because it's obvious to anyone who hasn't been brainwashed by PETA that a spaying is not in any way the same thing as taking in a lost animal.
A medical procedure on an animal brought in by its owner isn't in any way the same thing as euthanizing found and donated animals.
Apr 7th 2009 4:15PM Kirke, are you serious? You get up in my face about not reading the documents, and then go on to show how you yourself completely missed the mark while reading them?
All right, point by point retort:
1) And the alternative is to listen to PETA, who obviously don't have any sort of bias or axe to grind, right? Clearly.
2) Learn to read. Not just glance over, actually read. You may notice the first page you linked says, quite clearly, "OTHER THAN SPAY/NEUTER ANIMALS". Obviously you'd never expect PETA to euthanize animals that were brought direct to them by the owners so the animals could get spayed or neutered, that'd be stupid. Once you realize this, you may note that while the total number of animals may say 8362, the vast, vast majority of that number was spaying and neutering. To the tune of 6361 animals. Which means, obviously, that PETA only really took in 2001 animals. Now, that includes 4 poultry, probably chickens, which likely isn't counted by petakillsanimals.com. So, 1997 animals taken in total. Out of those, 1811 were killed (1815 but includes the 4 chickens, so let's rectify to 1811).
1811 euthanizations out of 1997 is a hell of a lot. Over 90% in fact.
Next time instead of telling me to "try investigating", why don't you take the time yourself to wrap your head around those big numbers and actually make sense of them.
Apr 7th 2009 2:15PM PETA's just a PR gig anyway. They say a lot of things, but when it comes to doing, they're just as bad if not worse than those they accuse.
In 2008, PETA found adoptive homes for all of 7 animals. The 2,209 others? Well, they had to do something, right? So 2,209 cats and dogs were put down by PETA itself. In 2008. That's over 6 pets per day that have been killed by PETA.
In the last 10 years, PETA has put down over 20,000 pets. You can be sure that they spend a hell of a lot more money on ad campaigns than they do actually caring and saving animals.
Mar 11th 2009 7:17AM Hey, if I say sorry first, you won't mind at all that I kick you in the nuts as hard as I can, right? I mean, I did say sorry before and warn you and everything, I don't see how anyone could be mad.
What an interesting way of seeing things. Now I can do anything, however stupid, pitiful, greedy it may be, as long as I say sorry first, no one should ever be mad!
Mar 9th 2009 11:27AM The other recipes I have simply not bothered to get, as getting them won't get me the achievement. Once I can get the alliance recipes or 3.1 comes with at least 3 new recipes I can get then I'll resume my hunt. Until then it's pointless.
Yeah, it keeps the achievement pretty exclusive. Exclusive to Alliance, that is.
