Mar 7th 2009 11:47AM It just keeps coming out as
"greedy Enchanter jerks, how dare they be so greedy? I want the shards so I can sell them!"
Now, I think the problem really lies in the fact that enchanters have to 'buy' their formulas with shards. So, from their point of view, they NEED the shards to improve their skills.
(sure, once everyone is max skill, it's not an issue, neither is the gold really, and most runs don't bother with this argument at that point)
I think the best system is to let the enchanter Greed all blues, so when noone else Needs them, they can collect it. At the end of the run, they can DE and distribute them however is best. Lots of times, a group will hearth away and drop group without even bringing it up, and the enchanter gets 3 or 4 shards.
Otherwise, everyone rolls greed and takes what they get...
In the end tho, who is the greedy jerk? The enchanter who might get some mats for their profession? Or the Miner/Skinner who demands a 'fair share' of the shards?
Mar 6th 2009 11:02AM I have really enjoyed playing with priest mana regen for the past few years. It has been a major focus of my gear, my playstyle, my pride... But, all things change, and we adapt. That's fine.
But, I am not thrilled about the new Serendipity... I have stacked haste, and it's great, but this just seems to add more haste, where once we had a nice mana plop.
My suggestion (anyone listening to us?) is to make Serendipity work so that Flash/Binding Heal would "increase the critical chance of your next Greater Heal" by X%. This would give you a chance to proc Holy Concentration, which triggers a mana regen cycle. Now THAT is serendipitous!
( It also sort of makes up for the removed effect of Test of Faith)
It just seems that the Holy style has gone from a Clearcasting/FiveSecond Cheat mechanic to a fast casting, high crit reliant healer.
Feb 2nd 2009 11:06AM Since the Glyphs came along, I mostly Levitate EVERYwhere!
Also, Levitate + Lightwell + PW:Shield + Guardian Spirit + Holy Nova = Screenshot.
And Levitate OFF of a mount is kinda fun (altho I have done it accidentally, when up high, and it takes a LONG time to land!)
Only just begun to play with it in a party... beware!
On my mage, I Blink alot. I like to try to Blink from the AH steps in Ironforge ONTO the bridge. Usually jump off the steps and Blink in mid-air, land on the bridge!
Jan 15th 2009 2:53PM My idea for 'fixing' CoH was:
Target Player is Instant healed for X (full amount) and 4 other targets are healed for X Over 6 Seconds.
In other words, it is STILL an instant, with a decent amount on your main target (tank, etc) and helps out the nearby players too. But if you just spam it, it won't really end up being nearly as much total healing (on the 5 targets) as it currently is (pre 3.08).
For me at least, the instant and quickly repeatable heal was the big draw, and that hurts the most to lose.
I think maybe allowing Divine Providence to also reduce the CoH cooldown by 30% would be a good idea, it keeps us focused in the Holy Tree, IF we really want the CoH to be fast.
I also like the idea of the Hymns - although I don't exactly care for Divine Hymn. Indeed it's nearly impossible to use effectively right now - if you cast it, the rest of the group HAS to know to stop attacking, or it's broken. Maybe a 2 or 3 second 'shield' on the mobs, with a big fat graphic like a hunter trap, to signal that they are effected would help.
I think adding more Hymns would help make the class 'more fun' to play. A brief (30 seconds?) aura-type buff would be nice - Hymn of Renew (HoT) , Hymn of Hope (Mp5), or a Hymn of Mass Resurrection even.
And aren't priests really the ideal anti-curse class? I don't go to my local church to get my flu shot, I go to get rid of the demons! :)
(seriously, Cure Poison would be great)
Dec 25th 2008 4:20PM I wish my Rocket Bot could blow up these crazy cars!
Dec 15th 2008 11:23AM yea, but try healing in your nightgown!

Dec 11th 2008 4:54PM zig heil?
perhaps you should pick up a dictionary of your own...
This whole thread is proof that a headline is much more powerful than the real story. Media outlets can control way too much with a simple twist of the words. No, the full text doesn't directly imply WoW = Bad, but the headlines are all most people read, and for sure there's a naive mother/father somewhere that just decided NOT to let they 13 year old play WoW.
And that's a shame, because games can be amazing tools for education and social development.
Unfortunately teaching self-responsibility and accountability are obviously pretty low in our society's list of priorities.
Dec 7th 2008 9:30PM Don't forget Northern Cloth Scavenging:
It may not sound like as much fun as weekly discoveries or extra-quality crafted items, but it's a tailor-only skill, and it seems to add up to quite abit of cloth.
Of course, you need 5 cloth to make a bolt, and 7 or 8 bolts to make a (moslty useless) item... so it's a bit less of a buff and more of a requirement. It does go nice with enchanting, as you can then just DE all 200 of the items you crafted for skillup.
Or , you can also sell the cloth straight on the AH and make some quick gold (until everyone else is max skills, then turn around and buy it for cheaper)...
