Apr 22nd 2010 11:27AM Satire of course.
This also isn't the first fake interview from wow.com, there was a really funny interview with Arthas right before LK came out. And, the entire AAFL series...
Non-existent characters in a game vs an actual person, yes, but it still says in the first two paragraph very clearly that this is fake.
Apr 19th 2010 3:39PM Cape enchant = +1 agi, so its better, if only slightly.
Hands = +60 (iirc) passive haste or +1-2k fire damage. I like the haste personally, but check the ss.
Boots = +24 crit/3min CD super speed boost. Better point for point than the AP or Icewalker and the boost is crazy useful.
Belt = Frag belt, Its on a 6min CD, but eh, not that great. Nothing else can go there so its not a complete waste.
All the engineering enchants work out to be better than the plain ones, even if slightly.
Apr 19th 2010 3:35PM I believe when comparing enchants and their usefulness with your own setup its important to mention one thing:
The spreadsheet is your friend. Check the spreadsheet. (or the websheet, whichever you prefer.)
Apr 17th 2010 12:26PM Q: How will "active spell is more powerful" be handled with no more dot clipping?
A: How about we get rid of "a more powerful spell is active" altogether? If you have some bonehead overwriting your more powerful buff or debuff, we'd rather you handle that issue socially
Have you ever had to deal with someone overwriting the more powerful hunters mark with the untalented one? Over and over again? They dont listen, otherwise they wouldn't be a bonehead.
Apr 16th 2010 11:52AM And at least one of the class previews each day was 11:00 pm to 2:00 am US time.
Its a dev chat, it makes sense that It would be on California time.
Apr 9th 2010 12:37PM My first reaction the level 1 pet thing was: But where are all the fresh hunters going to learn to kite!?
...but leveling is so quick now, who says they are learning these days anyway and not just meleeing their way through, so default pet ftw, I guess.
Mar 31st 2010 12:04PM I'm going to go out on a limb and say the whole launcher program is compromised, which is to say that the wow executable, is also probably compromised. Good chance theres a keylogger embedded somewhere in that mess too.
So if you see this, your probably already screwed.
I'm of the camp that common sense and education goes a long way.
Get an authenticator, pay attention to what your clicking, and teach those who share your computer to do the same.
Feb 22nd 2010 12:31PM Personal speculation fails me again :)
Thank you for the updated info.
I still stand by my point that its a good starting trinket, but not as good as greatness and definitely inferior to WFS, which is why it was not included on this list.
Feb 22nd 2010 10:08AM Whispering Fanged Skull is basically an upgraded version of Mirror of Truth.
1000 AP [on proc]
Procs on Crit strikes (High uptime, if you have a lot of crit - I dont have a number but on my pally its always up)
Whispering Fanged Skull
1100 AP [on proc]
Procs on all damage (33% [high] uptime)
Not equal but definitely not bad, especially if your still running around with blue or green trinkets - a great trinket until you can get on of the others to drop or buy greatness.
I think the reason it was not included was because greatness is a better trinket and that was the basis of the article: where to go from greatness.
