Mar 29th 2012 3:03AM I always thought the Draenei totems looked kind of like Digimon eggs. Don't know if that's much solace to you or not.
Mar 25th 2012 7:32PM There's a difference between tier and sets though. No, I'm definitely not expecting them to make 13 tiers worth of sets for no reason. I would be quite surprised however if they don't give them something in the leveling brackets, especially for PvP. After all, they added those alternate sets way back when for Feral Druids and Shadow Priests (the original dungeons sets, though these alternates weren't upgradeable I think).
Unless they add lowbie crafted PvP sets I guess, which I don't think currently exist?
Mar 25th 2012 3:43PM "No, monks will only have armor sets in MoP endgame content and beyond."
Not sure where you'd assume that from, unless it was specifically stated somewhere. Just the fact that even DKs were retro-fitted with gear for the twinkers and RPers makes me assume they'll do the same for Monks. Probably won't amount to more than a reskin of some old Druid/Rogue gear, but I'd still assume they'd give them something, at the very least just for lowbie PvP.
If they really decided to kit them out they'd have a bunch of dungeon sets to match for them, from the old Vanilla ones to BC. Wouldn't be too hard I'd assume, just throw a little paint on them.
Mar 23rd 2012 11:24PM If someone's been inactive since well before the cutoff date, but starts a free Trial account, does that mean you can no longer SoR them? Or does it count as a separate "account" rez, even if it's on the same Bnet account?
I'll probably just play it on the safe side and shoot them one now rather than waiting and getting burned.
Mar 20th 2012 9:30PM Those things have been around since Vanilla.
Be honest, he just wanted to show off his mount. :P
Mar 19th 2012 10:33PM I wonder, since they say only one set of models will maybe be ready by then, do we have a consensus on when they'd release them? I mean would they wait 'til all were ready, then do one big update? Or just release them as they were finished?
On the one hand, these have been a long time coming and we'd like them ASAP (for the most part anyway). On the other, having to watch from the sidelines as half your guild gets an upgrade would really suck.
Maybe they could at least show us the finished ones, like when they updated the Druid Feral forms. They released previews over a few months I think it took, but released them all on live together.
Mar 19th 2012 8:27PM What's particularly weird about Arathi though is stuff was datamined for it back pre-Cata, maybe even pre-Cata leak. Something about the son of the old leader there, potentially now Undead, rebelling, that sort of thing. Looked like it was phasing-heavy.
And then we didn't hear anything about it! Everyone sort of expected it to come along with Cata like all the other updates, but it never panned out. I kinda wonder, was it totally cut, like the original Twilight betrayals? Or is it something they're just holding onto for later, like the Celestial Dragon pet?
Mar 19th 2012 1:35PM I thought Stag form was just the universal Travel form. I don't recall anything about it being Night Elf specific. It's certainly not a bad idea for a Night Elf form, but then what would the other races use? Not much to offer them if you're going by local fauna.
Kinda doubt we'll be seeing racial glyphs any time soon. :P
These Druid ones really are a long time coming though. It always seemed like something that would be so easy to implement, since (most of) the stuff listed here is just pre-existing models attached to whatever code makes a glyph. It's about time they wised up and started passing the cool stuff around!
Now, just give me more Minor Glyph slots! T-T
Mar 19th 2012 1:28PM I wasn't too interested in it anyway, so I can't say I'm too surprised they slimmed things down.
I can't even level a Death Knight due to their dual resource systems, I'd never be able to get a Monk of the starting zone...
Mar 18th 2012 9:40PM Wait, really? Feralas is one of those really old zones that I've done most of both Horde and Alliance side, but I had no idea it got a revamp. There was never much memorable there anyway, and it actually took me a minute to remember what Feralas even was. I had just sort of mentally lumped it in with all the old high-level zones that didn't get much by way of a makeover.
Interesting. I'll have to check it out next time I'm of-level.
