Nov 11th 2008 3:07PM Sorry but that "Fix it" BS is terrible.
I got about to the part with "they always be hatin' on Armadillos", then I had to close the window to escape from too many of my brain cells dying off at once and turning me into a drooling idiot.
Oct 27th 2008 4:17PM Since when has Lucas Arts made anything good? Pass.
Sep 22nd 2008 12:25AM I can't believe you referenced that needlessly obtuse, brain tumor "Tim and Eric's Awesome Show". I'm not sorry for saying this, but those guys are not funny.
They try to do something new and it was okay for a while, if creepy, but after the first couple of episodes where I couldn't stomach another half-hearted laugh and prey these two weren't about to molest a choir boy.
I don't watch [Adult Swim] to feel creeped out by people with vaguely homosexual/cannibalistic feelings for one another. I'm not interested, and without any strong comedy, it is just another show to skip over and go to Comedy Central. I know there are others who find this show naggingly irritating and wishing it would've died at episode 3.
Please. Never reference that failure again.
Sep 18th 2008 4:18PM Okay, Idgie.
You just made it clear already. Druids have the choices. Sure you're not able to spec for everything, but let's be a bit less close-minded on this. You're whole tirade about me dying when you fail to CC something is ridiculous. All your CC's are spammable. Cyclone/Hibernate, Rogue in-combat CC is not spammable and ALL have cooldowns. If a mob 20 yards away reaches me and kills me then it's not that druids are underpowered, it's that you suck at your class because there's not a remote chance of three hibernates being resisted in a row. Moving on.
Druids depend on their gear like any other class. However, all you have to do is switch to another set of gear and it's there. Not perfect, but you're not specced for it either. Someone's already noted that with a bit of gemming and enchanting a rangedDPS/healer set can be thrown together quickly, and even more so when spellpower change goes live.
Your heals will be weaker than a usual healer, but they're plenty to party heal or help keep the tank up. To say you're 'completely' useless is laughable.
Your mark of the wild buff requires 5 points and about every druid picks it up since it's in the first tier anyways. It will cost less in the expansion as well. Couldn't have failed harder on that point but I won't rub it in your face too much, moving on.
When you have the choice between a rogue who can DPS, and a druid that can pull off 90% off his DPS as well as gear-switch for light-healing, light-ranged DPS then why would you bring the rogue who can't buff you either? Hunters have a better misdirect in the first place because it's ranged and the cooldown is getting lowered.
Yeah, you can't Kittydps, CC, boomkin, heal all at the same time. Wasn't the point I was trying to make. But with a gear change you're 'adequate'.
Your argument fell at the first hurdle with having hit the ground with such an incredible amount of fail that left it's thighs poking out of it's shoulders. You druids can't hide that this buff is outrageous, to say the very least. =\
Sep 18th 2008 12:40AM So far in beta: Rogues will have: Misdirect, Sap that hits humanoids and beasts and only works once per pull.
Druids will have: Rogue DPS, Battle Rez, Hibernate which is renewable, Entangling roots which keeps melee mobs from doing any damage as well. They can also heal, can off-tank, can do significant ranged DPS, bring buffs.
The buffs of Mark of the wild and Leader of the pack make up for misdirect, and if not, you can toss the battle rez in there. Druids still have renewable CC rogues can't match, same DPS, and can heal, offtank for longer than our 15 seconds, and do more ranged DPS than throw a dinky thrown weapon at enemies.
Your argument doesn't sway me.
Sep 17th 2008 7:13PM Like I said, the PvP aspects are different.
Any rogue using a stun in a raid environment is either doing it to make his tanks hate him or for a gimmick the mobs do(such as exploding at low health).
Sep 17th 2008 7:07PM I've played a lot of the non-hybrid classes. Priest, warrior, rogue and been every spec with them. My priest will still cackle at the wimpy druid healers who try to compete with Circle of Healing, but other then that.. it's like my ground's being retread by other classes.
Warriors got moved in on by paladins and druids, without getting anything in return except to not suck so hard at soloing.
Rogues passed along just about everything to the cat druids except for the PvP aspects we retain, however, they can just cheetah form and flip us the middle finger from out of shadowstep range, anyways.
I don't want to cry out for nerfs, but if they're going to homogenize and give my talents to other classes I want them to give me something in return. My warriors is going to ROT when Wotlk comes out because I will not have the patience for this. Rossi has already stated how the T-clap spam and constantly tab targetting. Yes, this may change in Wrath, but I'm still wearin' my keyboard down with spamming GCD's to keep threat over the healer while a paladin waltzes down easy-street with my shield slam skill.
No. No I will not settle for a gimmick fight that requires a warrior, just like I wouldn't expect a paladin or druid to settle for it. If a paladin's going to do what I can do, along with dispel/heal, or a druid to cat form and have healing, I will not settle for the niche of being second best.
If that's the game laid for out for my warrior, then he simply won't play it.
Time to go roll a hybrid until Blizzard gets a grip on their bloody mind. Like I said, I don't want paladins/druids nerfed, but I don't like seeing my warrior shrink so ridiculously in his usefulness.
Aug 24th 2008 12:00PM Bah, some of you are asking questions that've already been answered.
I'm lookin' at you, Broadcloak.
Seriously, if you haven't been around, go read the other "Ask a Beta tester" articles and stop cluttering the comments up where actual new questions can be addressed.
