Jan 8th 2011 12:50AM Salubrious... I love you! Let's be friends!
Oct 28th 2010 6:58PM I use a Naga, and I love it. There's just one problem.
Ready for this? It's très bizarre, but after my computer has been shut down for a while (i.e., overnight), the Naga mouse doesn't actually work when I turn the computer back on. It just sits there, like a dead snake. To get it to work, I have to fool around with it. Literally! I have to unplug the USB cord, plug it back in. Or sometimes I have to turn the mouse over and move it up and down a bit. Or sometimes I have to flip the Num Pad vs. 123 button on the bottom a bit. Or sometimes I have to do a bit of all of the above in random order. And at some point, my computer will make the NEW DEVICE ding, and then the Naga will work.
Once the Naga's working, if I reboot my computer, it's fine. The mouse works right away. But the moment the computer has been shut down for any extended period of time, the Naga goes dormant. It's so odd! I had no idea snakes hibernated!
Oct 28th 2010 4:08PM I'm going to miss the old Burrow. They held threat underground, so it made soloing lower-level instances so easy. I'd just round up a bunch of mobs, pop off the mount, throw up a mend pet, have the worm burrow, and multi-shot 'til my heart's content. Guess that won't be happening anymore...
Oct 28th 2010 4:07PM You can glyph misdirection so that, when cast on your pet, it doesn't have a cooldown. So you can basically roll all your threat to your pet. Plus the threat your pet's building himself... I bet single target fights would probably be okay, as long as dps doesn't act like idiots. Oh wait...
Apr 9th 2010 10:14PM I'm surprised nobody's asked yet whether exotic pets will still exist in game as a BM-only thing.
(In light of the attempt to offer more variety to the pets we take to raid, and in light of the suggestion that BM hunters may be able to have more "active" pets, I'm thinking the answer to the Exotics-still-exotic? question is no.)
I also hope they offer us even more than ten storage slots for pets. If they really want us to be able to fill in as a weaker version of any buff or debuff missing in a raid, we'll need more than ten! Also assuming they'll offer more spirit beasts, etc.
(I also hope they do these changes to the way we store pets before Cataclysm, so we can get back to Azeroth before all the cataclysmic changes drive any of the old world pets extinct.)
Jun 23rd 2009 11:16PM Can't be Circle of Healing, unless they've decided to give that spell to all priests as baseline... or unless they've decided to make a healing set bonus that is entirely useless to one of the two healing specs.
Feb 24th 2009 6:26AM That's what I was thinking... but I don't recall reading anywhere about HoTs being able to crit now...
I know there's a talent to make priest DoTs crit... and talents for lock DoTs... but I hadn't read anything about priest HoTs... I wonder if druid HoTs will be getting critlove.
Feb 21st 2009 1:47AM Actually, I don't think homophobia is ever either mild or appropriate, even if the death sentence is the logical punishment for a crime.
Dec 28th 2008 8:19PM "This week's post in particular is aimed at raid leaders or players who don't think Discipline can't cut it."
Judging from the rest of your post, which is relatively pro-discipline, I think perhaps you've got an unintentional double negative going on here. If you're aiming it at players who don't think discipline can't cut it, that would imply that you want them to think discipline can't cut it, which I don't think is what you want them to think. I think.
Nov 6th 2008 4:03PM Eh, what the Heck. I never win, but entering's worth a shot.
Consider me entered!
