Mar 21st 2008 2:48PM I have the entire raid out in my frames. as a dps class i'm not always 100% focused on my dps, there are cooldowns i'm waiting for as a lock, 2.5 sec shadowbolt cast is a long time. I imagine hunters have even more mental downtime. It's good to be able to look at the raid and see how you are doing.
Mar 21st 2008 5:39AM Yeah, you leveled your hunter as the 'wrong' spec :p
First time I tried a hunter i screwed it up spamming every shot out of the door as MM.
Second time around, BM, seriously, petattack, autoshot, afk. That's every mob down. if you pull an add the pet can tank it, if you pull 2 adds FD and the pet can still tank them. Sounds like an exaggeration but it really isn't, if you macro petattack and autoshot to the same key, hunters are a 1 key 1-70 class.
Mar 21st 2008 5:18AM TBH it's more like hunter > lock because hunters can use no mana and still own mobs. At least at low level locks will use a fair amount of mana and have to drink or eat at some point, hunters can 100% Ctrl+1, 1 every mob 10-70. shots just speed up the killing a bit
Mar 11th 2008 5:30PM Yes, recount can show you what percentage of your damage is coming from a certain ability. For example, it showed me that curse of agony was only 12% of my DPS as an affliction spec warlock (trash, not bosses, bosses wouldn't get CoA) making improved curse of agony (10% increase in CoA damage) only a 1.2% DPS increase.
You can also figure out which abilities are doing the least damage and test swapping them out for others, or trying to buff your leading ability with a certain talent or whatever.
Mar 11th 2008 5:18PM Linux is actually as easy if not easier than Windows to install and use now. The major problem is compatibility with games, and some obscure hardware.
Mar 11th 2008 4:30PM Linux has had a GUI for more than a decade now.
Mar 9th 2008 10:25PM i also do apologise for making it seem as if I have a hatred for casual players. i really don't. it's just that blizzard are really moving towards playing wow giving nothing in return. for me, if there's no gear progression, no leveling, soon the fun will easily run out as in the first person shooter of the month. it's just repetitive pvp matches with nothing changing at all. you wouldn't get sick of that?
maybe casuals see it another way, i don't know.
Mar 9th 2008 10:17PM and then what do you have to play for? there's no reason to raid, "progression" wouldn't exist apart from attunements.
PvP in wow is a sham, with equal gear the Setup of the Week/Class of the Week will win , and get nerfed. over and over. wow, lovely eh? play an FPS/RTS for balanced pvp.
Mar 9th 2008 10:15PM I'm sick of the god damn comments like "stop crying" and "i play for fun". That's nice.
You assume that people want better gear for epeen. No. It's NOT epeen. It's an achievement for yourself sometimes.
So that YOU can feel proud that you actually did something difficult. I couldn't give a shit if i can show it off. I like to play games that are a challenge. This is why I play MMOs.
If you want everything for free, if you "have to work" (as if raiders don't?) which means you get 15 minutes online a day, you flat out SHOULD. NOT. get better gear. it's nothing to do with epenis, it's the FACT that you have not done as much for it. go ahead, bring up the "i play for fun not for a job" bullshit. fact is, it's an MMO.
with things like the tournament test realm, Blizzard are pushing WoW towards gear being pointless.
Aug 24th 2007 9:12PM 'find a replacement' is bullshit. especially for lowbie instances.
do you like to come into an instance when the group is halfway through and you missed your quest mob already?
i don't give a shit if your little sister wanted to use comp. shoulda thought about that eh?
