May 14th 2009 5:01PM There is no merit to such an endeavor.
Sounds like this guy needs a bad case of activities to do in the real world :(
May 5th 2009 12:17PM Next time you interview him, ask about an appearance tab.
It's something players have been requesting for *years* and it seems now with the level of gear (appearance) recycling in Ulduar it's needed more than ever.
May 2nd 2009 9:29AM Why am I not surprised half the readers of this site don't perceive using the item as an obvious no-no?
Apr 30th 2009 10:27AM I'd quit instantly.
Who'd want a job dealing with the WoW community?
Mar 22nd 2009 5:56PM The author missed the root of the problem - it will be possible for (say) a druid to 'wear' rogue T8 with Ulduar gear since there are leather dps shoulders that use Rogue T8 models that cat druids can obtain.
Similarly any cloth classes can put together what is essentially mage and priest T8 (even the same color) with certain non-tier loots. I haven't see the warlock helm reused yet but I'm sure it is so my mage may end up 'wearing' lock T8.
This is silly and pure laziness on Blizzards behalf.
All this is solved if they just added an appearance tab to the game.
Mar 12th 2009 8:08AM Seeing the gullibility of many of the people commenting on this post it's not surprising so many accounts are still getting hacked.
ANY site that requests personal information (such as name, email, phone number etc) that links you as a WoW player is just opening up your possibility of being hacked (via direct methods, for instance).
It's the internet. You can't and shouldn't trust anyone, especially a site like this that is doomed to fail.
And Wowinsider, you are destroying what credibility you may have continuing to promote these guys.
Mar 7th 2009 9:58AM RIP Heroics
I can't believe so few people see how bad a thing this is for the game as a whole...
Feb 25th 2009 5:08PM The sanity mechanic predates Eternal Darkness by quite a few years, going all the way back to the first pen & paper Call Of Cthulhu RPG.
Does knowing this date me?
Feb 17th 2009 4:29PM Their business model is "Gee, a lot of players play WoW, how can we profit from them? How about creating a serves-no-purpose website in the hope that we generate ad revenue?"
In other words, as someone already said, why is Wowinsider even reporting on these clowns?
Feb 14th 2009 8:02AM "They want you to explore new things and have fun!"
Everyone who uses such a line assumes it wasn't fun in BC to use your profession to make quality BoP gear, which is a misnomer.
Tailoring, and indeed many other professions, are at the moment clearly unfinished (see the lack of patterns requiring 450 for instance). It doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess that at some point in the future (3.1 probably) new, higher level patterns will be added to the game. My bet is these will provide ilvl 200 epic gear on par with that obtained in Naxx, and will allow those tailors who haven't been raiding these past few months a chance to catch up.
