Aug 25th 2011 5:44PM Since DKs weren't around for Tier 1, and maybe I missed seeing this with the transmog preview, but will a DK be able to use an item in the same armor class? Like say the Helm of Wrath (warrior only) but still plate, can a DK use it for the model? Not saying I want my DK running around in full Judgement (I picked up the T2 look alike pieces in BC grinding Outlands rep) but I do like the look of some of the vanilla items, and want to make sure I can use them in transmogrification even though they are class specific.
Aug 18th 2010 6:49PM Isn't it Tom Chilton, not Tim?
Other than that, yeah, I would figure mid-November launch at earliest.
Apr 15th 2010 4:31PM Picked up mine for both accounts right as the story broke on WoW.com. No queue. 70k. That might pay for a few server upgrades for Cataclysm, no?
Apr 15th 2010 12:42PM Totally awesome.. Li'l XT does the "come out and play" emote when you summon him... steed is both ground and flying. Lots of tells in Dalaran :D
Apr 7th 2010 12:13PM Is it just me or is this a deliberate decision by Blizzard to make Enhancement the "go to" tree for shaman? Granted, as a raiding ele/resto shaman, I've been spoiled in Wrath, by never having to worry about my mana regen, etc. I'm liking the Elemental Overload idea, because a "bonus" version of Lava Burst, even at say 50% like the current Lightning Overload is still going to hurt. I would hope Blizzard would put something in like "cannot crit" or something, because I'm never throwing out a LvB without Flame Shock on the target, and if you get a bonus from the new mastery, then it would be a free 100% damage LvB. Non shaman would cry to the end of time. Finally getting an AoE through Earthquake is nice for heroics and such. Healing Rain would be a very situational spell at best. I can raid heal with nothing more than LHW and Chain Heal as it is now, and throwing an earth shield/riptide on the MT as needed.
I was planning on leveling up a goblin shaman as enhancement anyways, so the first look at the changes are nice.
Oct 15th 2009 2:15PM Also, the Twin's Pact heal is only 50% on 25 man hard mode. It's 20% on normal 25 man. We've done it for a couple of weeks now, having the Raid Leader call out "Become Dark" or "Become Light" depending on who's shielded makes getting the shield down and the heal interrupted very easy...for those who don't have DBM that is.
Oct 8th 2009 2:45PM From our success last night on 25 man... mages casting Slow makes interrupting cast times (especially the shaman LHW) much easier. We had a chain CC on our second target (holy priest) with hex, sheep, trap, etc. We had resto shaman, resto druid, DK, rogue, mage, holy paladin, ret paladin, hunter, shadow priest and holy priest. After wiping once, most of our paladins switched to ret and we were able to burst them down, shaman/druid/holy priest 1/2/3 then focused on the melee and finally the ranged DPS. Probably the most exciting fight I've been in outside of old time Hillsbrad World PvP.
Sep 23rd 2009 5:37PM Well, guess that would make sense then, at least for me.
Sep 23rd 2009 5:36PM T-storm was just nice to have when that DK throws up AoD or you have two rogues tearing you a new one, just to get 'em off you...
Sep 23rd 2009 5:30PM My last full mana DPS run on the boss target dummy self-buffed showed the flame shock DoT component crit rate was about 32%. I'm in decent (not great) gear and my crit rate as elemental is running in the low 30% range. Not sure if your crit percentage affects the crit rate of the tick, though.
