Nov 8th 2009 5:34PM Personally I would love to see the pally trees differentiated. If you look at rotations between holy/ret for damage HOLY: Judgement/HS/Exorcism/something else? RET: Judgement/CS/DS/Exorcism/Consecration. They share a lot of the same abilities in general. While I no where Expect Holy=Ret in terms of damage I would like to see different skill sets for those specs. I also find it weird that at lvl 76 when I play ret (sp=0) my exorcism does about 3k dmg crit 2200 non crit. On my holy pally (sp=800) exorcism does about 1.5k-1.7 crit and 1.2k non crit. Just a little odd that a spell does more for a melee class than a caster class. (I know it can be talented in the ret tree to do more dmg)
Nov 7th 2009 9:37PM While I do agree that pallys can basically use any basic ability from any tree. Like others have said Ret pallys have all the dps capability. While they can heal they really are of no use compared to a boomkin/shadow priest/ele shammy hopping out and throwing a heal.
Holy pallys have absolutely no offensive power as I play a holy pally. I can attest to the fact that it takes forever to kill a mob unless its undead/demon. We have a judgement, holy shock, exorcism, and holy wrath (being only useful if they are undead). I do believe that things like HoP and DS should have some buffed ability for prot pallys but they should be in there trees, I don't think they should be nerfed so that other specs cant use them.
Oct 27th 2009 11:24PM I understand that fact that pure dps classes can only dps. While hybrid classes can in a pinch perform other roles than what they are currently speced. But as others have said arent those classes being taxed by throwing a heal or dpsing during a fight in which they are not speced to heal or dps. As anyone looked at the numbers in healing difference between what a ret pally can cast versus a holy pally?
The other thing is if dps classes are suppose to have higher dps than hybrids, then why do those dps classes have specific specs to play in raids, i.e. destro locks, Surv hunters, etc. If that is the case why not have all the dps trees of that class be equal? BM hunter=Surv hunter dps, that why the player can chose the spec not the spec choose the player.
Idk, sorry for the rambling but just my 2cents on the matter
Aug 27th 2008 8:04PM I am also a hunter, and have a hard time find pugs for heroics. My current gear set is t4/t5 mix. And the biggest problem is that there are never any tanks on that want to do heroics and if there are they tend to suck horribly on my server.

Aug 20th 2008 7:07PM I am a PvE player currently doing t6 content. My biggest problem with arenas/BGs is that I go into a BG/Arena and get my arse kicked by a person wearing s1 gear because of a stat called resilience. They have so much that I cant even get a crit off on them (have 2k RAP 33%crit). And in order for me to play a BG/Arena Blizzard has forced me to mind numbingly grind the honor/tokens to get gear that is only viable to PvP, because when raiding the point of raiding is to not take damage and you don't even need resilience.
This is why so many PvE hate arenas/bgs now. Not to mention the amount of time spent having to get the current seasons set. Like others have said here s2 is no where = to s3/s4 geared arena teams.
The last thing that upsets me is people afk in BG and still get there honor/tokens. In raiding you don't get shit for just showing up and standing at the enterance, you actively have to play the game.
