First level 70 Death Knight on the realms {WoW}

Nov 13th 2008 3:21PM If Athene wasn't such an ass, maybe I would have some sympathies for him. As it is, I am glad the GM banned him and shut him down even for a little while, too bad it isn't a perma-ban.

Ask a Beta Tester: The past meets the future {WoW}

Nov 11th 2008 5:52PM I went nuts and bought every mount I was allowed to in Beta (over 1500g. On my main I only have few of the faction races at exalted and not a gnome), and by the time I was about half way through Dragonblight, I had earned it all back and more. I also didn't use the AH, as the economy was so screwed up, you couldn't buy or sell effectively. (I mean there was peacebloom selling for 5g per herb (100g per stack)). So I ended up vendoring a lot of useless (to me) items, and a stable economy might net better gold turn over.

Wrath 101: Getting from Borean Tundra to Howling Fjord and vice versa {WoW}

Nov 11th 2008 4:25PM They are working on those for the third expansion or the fourth. The Maelstrom must be plumbed at some point. The queen of the Naga is probably getting tired having to wait for us to get to her undersea lair. Plus new mounts (seahorses, whales, etc. to act as money sinks). Unfortunately, they will only be useful in the Maelstrom, and you need to be 3 levels from the cap to get one and it will only cost 100,000 g.

Breakfast Topic: Resurrecting old events {WoW}

Oct 2nd 2008 10:20AM My server was a BC server so we had the AQ event. My only regret was that I didn't have the quest chain completed within the 10 hours of the gate opening. I wish Blizz would do an annual event that is outside of the main game. There would be some quests that are added periodically hinting at an event on the horizon, then slam, it happens without a major patch (perhaps a slow trickle of code in the weekly reboot). And it would have to happen randomly during the year.

Ask a Lore Nerd: And two stealthed rogues {WoW}

Sep 29th 2008 11:04AM It might have to do with the Red dragons that are guarding the instance (well an instance opening at least) in the Wetlands.

Breakfast Topic: So you're in the Beta now too {WoW}

Sep 26th 2008 11:41AM I just got in to beta last night. While there was some loot lag, I just attributed it to being an unstable build of the game (They are making changes frequently, if the number of patches I had to install before being allowed to even access the realm). I agree with people who are saying to stop QQ'ing. I have friends who are dieing to get into the beta just to see the new content and try out some of the new UI adjustments even if it took an hour to cross a region that should only take 10 minutes.

Wrath's Obsidian Sanctum brings new mounts and new challenges {WoW}

Sep 18th 2008 6:37PM D'oh. My apologies, I don't know where my head was. I had party on the brain yesterday.

Wrath CE sold out at Gamestop, Amazon {WoW}

Sep 18th 2008 6:31PM With BC, I advised that unless you wanted to play one of the two BC races there really wasn't anything for you in that expansion until you get to level 58. I make the same recommendation concerning WotLK, Unless you plan on having a Death Knight when you get to level 55, you might want to wait until you are closer to the content levels before you get them (this is assuming you are getting BC at 55 as well since the path to Northrend goes through Outland).

Wrath's Obsidian Sanctum brings new mounts and new challenges {WoW}

Sep 16th 2008 2:54PM I could see a market for the Twilight Drake, but the Black Drake would mean a tuned 4 man group because of the 5th unknown on each run. And if the encounter requires all 5 to be doing 5 different things, there really isn't much room for an unknown quantity to make a successful run that often.
