Breakfast Topic: Should the girlfriend play WoW? {WoW}

Jan 8th 2009 10:16AM I have to disagree with Zappo.

I'm a healer and my Gf plays thank. Whereas before we were very depend on each other, the last patch gave Tanks and Healers a "reasonable" dps so you can go out and fend for yourself without a problem.

Plus being sat next to each other gives a hell of an bonus to Raiding... "Last Stand, Last stand I'm stunned" just worries people when announced over Vent ^^

But to be very honest with the author , if you feel like you "Need your own space" don't bother trying to get her playing WoW.
Perhaps you need something you can do together that is good for both of you.
If she's feels you spend too much time on WoW rather than with her, perhaps you should just make the effort and cut down on your play time for her?

The Guardian on The Guild {WoW}

Dec 23rd 2008 4:26AM Yes, it is a blog.
Therefor they can put articles about whatever they want.

This however is the "comment" section where readers give their opinion.

I find it Ironic that people defend the author's right to freedom of speach and at the same time attack reader's that give their opinions.

Unless you agree 100% with the articles now, it seems you're just a troll.

And for the record I agree with those who find that WoWInsider has been waving the "guid fanclub" around a bit too much.
And before you light you flaming torches I nomally just skip the articles.

Slow Fall castable on others in 3.0.8 {WoW}

Dec 19th 2008 4:04AM Actually that is incorrect.

Blizzard confirmed that for it to be validated you have to jump "from a hard surface" and land "on a hard surface" with no slow fallng effects at all.

Landing in water does not work.
Dismounting from flying mount does not work.
Slow fall, Levitate, etc do not work.
Objects like parachutes do not work.

The only reason Paladins and Mage can use certain talents is because it absorbes the damage, it does not affect the fall.

On a side note I find it just another step in the "Let's make every class the same" mentality Blizzard seem to be on.
Levitate and Slow Fall are hardly vital, just a perk...

Wrath 101: PvP welfare gear {WoW}

Dec 19th 2008 3:42AM I think that the heart of the problem is not who "deserves" to have epics depending on the amount of time they can play but more: If you can get the best equipment playing just 2 hours a week, what do the people playing more than 2 hours a day do?

Back in vanilla the Dungeon Sets were added after the Raid Sets simply to give a goal and reward to those who couldn't find time to Raid.

Internet Explorer exploit targets game passwords {WoW}

Dec 17th 2008 6:27AM Did he stop short?

The article, to be obectif, should have been to warn and help protect.

Instead it read like a person wanting to wave his anti-microsoft banner to look cool.

Why is it people using alternative browers seem to thing they are so cool because they were able to run a setup.exe?

Use the browser you want.
If you feel you have to defend your choice to the public and proove why they are wrong. Something is not quite right.

Internet Explorer exploit targets game passwords {WoW}

Dec 17th 2008 6:06AM Would you mind saying who you work for? Just so I know not to put work your way.

If your work only displays correctly on a certain type of browser, don't blame IE. Blame your coding. IE was around before Firefox and other. Funny how they don't know how to follow internet protocol ^^

I'm not an MS fan, but quite honestly all this bashing is simply the same as wearing a Che Guevara T-Shirt. People think it is cool and rebellious but most don't understand the meaning or reasons.

The article's a bit... pointless. If the author thinks simply changing your browser will solve the problem maybe he should avoid articles about internet security.

IE is buggy? Not with an original copy of Windows and the updates. Cracked software on the other hand....

WoW Moviewatch: Kael'Thas and the Santa Claus {WoW}

Dec 16th 2008 12:22PM "I think his emphasis on word play and surreal speech comes across well"

Ummm..... Ok.....
I'm afraid I just don't get the effort needed to make a "fart" joke last for 3min of movie.

The idea is good but could have been developed a lot more. The worse things Kael'Thas was fart on santa???
The lore-lovers will be ruthless

Just a personal opinion of course

Breakfast Topic: Don't you mean the *healer* shortage? {WoW}

Dec 9th 2008 11:05AM "Tank dies it's the healers fault, healer dies it's the tanks fault, DPS dies it's their own fault"

That was true a while back. But now that Blizard has got AoE damage happy with most Bosses the statement no longer doe justice.

We now have to be ready heal the whole group after a "Nova/AoE/Chain/DoT/Add..." takes the whole party down to 50% health.

Any healer that focuses simply on the tank and himself better find himself a really good mana regen set, because those fights are going to be just him and the tank do the damage ^^

I think was of the reasons for the lack o healers if that most people think we got less new "toys" to play with that the other classes...

Just my two cents

Blizzard legal targets private servers {WoW}

Dec 6th 2008 8:06AM You do know that when you get a perma-ban, they blacklist your name, adress and credit card number don't you?

-.- "yeah Blizard just wants more money"

Do you have the t-shirt?

If you can't afford WoW, don't play.
I can't afford to eat out, so guess what. I cook.

Dec 6th 2008 8:02AM And just to add insult to injury, have you seen those bastards that sell Ferraris?

I should steal one, by what right do they only make them obtainable by people with money?
