Blizzard announces Pre-Wrath content patch {WoW}
Aug 25th 2008 9:44PM The "before the storm" patch pre-BC was released on Dec. 5th 2006, and BC itself came out on Jan 17th 2007, the very next month. By that logic, if they release this content patch within 3-4 weeks that would imply Wrath hitting sometime in late October, or early November.
I don't think wrath is in a state yet for that soon of a release, so either we'll have longer to play the patch or the patch won't drop until more than 4 weeks from now. I'm surprised they announced this - they must feel good about the state of the beta...
