Upper Deck hosts a Spectral Safari event for the WoW minis game {WoW}

Feb 17th 2009 11:17AM
The problem with this type of event is that the tiger goes to the winner, and unless you play competitively and weekly, you have no chance to walk in and win. I'm thinking about going and playing for the next month to try and win one, but otherwise you have no shot. I used to play heroclix competitively before WoW, and I would wipe the floor with people who just showed up for these regional tourneys expecting to have a shot because they played at home with some friends.

Tuesday Morning Post: Flip a Coin for 3.0.8 {WoW}

Here is what I don't get about these threads every week. All you have to do is log on as soon as they bring the game down, and if you don't automatically download the patch, it isn't patch day. It is that simple. I got up this morning, logged in, didn't start downloading the patch, so now I know.

Apprentice Scribe: An Inscription FAQ {WoW}

Oct 17th 2008 11:10AM Minor glyphs don't proc like alchemy flasks and pots. you train one a day with minor inscription research. It has a 20 hour CD like transmute. So if you don't have one yet, it is because you haven't researched.

I got thorns first, but then a server rollback i lost it and got mend pet when I trained again. Yesterday I got challenging roar.

Apprentice Scribe: An Inscription FAQ {WoW}

I bought all my herbs before the patch for cheap and saved up enough to level. In the last 4 days I've made 4000G, but the market on Shattered Hand horde side has seemed to collapse already. As more and more people pick it up, thinking that everyone is getting rich, there is a flood of major glyphs on the market. Last night people were giving them away because there is no point listing them on the AH for 50 silver.

But the idea you should just give them away if you don't want to, thats nuts. What other profession do people expect you to give them what they made for free? Why don't some JCs give me some free blue gems, or some alchemists give me some super mana pots for free?

As for anyone deciding to pick it up now. good luck. Lifebloom on SH is 90g a stack right now. I suggest waiting awhile until the prices come down, or picking all the herbs yourself.

Blizzard retracts honor point changes: honor points will not be reset {WoW}

Oct 1st 2008 11:33AM
I blew 47k on gear on Saturday night because of the annoucement. I asked a GM to restore my honor last night, and they did. I didn't get the 80 tokens back, but at least I got my 47k back. I suggest others do this as well.

Honor points and marks reset in WotLK {WoW}

Sep 24th 2008 11:09AM
That is exactly what happened right before BC. People stopped raiding and started hording honor points. I had 30k on my priest when hit 70. the thing was, there weren't epics at the time for you to buy. The items you could get were blues, you can still find them on one of the vendors in the PVP area. They were average, the same level as the stuff you could get running TK on normal mode.

The lack of an honor reset at 70 wasn't a problem, leading me to believe this is just Blizzard forcing you to play longer and pay more.

Arena points reset in Wrath for Season 5 {WoW}

Aug 26th 2008 2:22PM Yes but I'm responding to his idea that they get rid of arena points altogether and only have honor points. It could be at 70 or 80 or even 90 for that matter. In general, if they made it so you could get a full seat of gear as good as whatever the top PVE gear is at the time, a lot of people would flip out.

Just pointing out to the guy why they have the system they do.

Arena points reset in Wrath for Season 5 {WoW}

Aug 26th 2008 10:41AM Actually, if you remember, the lvl 60 gear was the exact same cost the lvl 70 gear is currently. They didn't raise the price of lvl 70 gear, they lowered the price of the lvl 60 gear.
