Oct 21st 2011 4:23PM My creepy crate just ate two whole deer and a cow for dessert... Forget your world destroyers. ... I'm beating on the creepy crate, best pet ever!
Mar 10th 2011 4:50PM Great article, but it made me want to request future articles:
I am new to tanking, I would love to see an article on how you handle a PUG:
a) how do you communicate with the PUG
b) what macros, particularly text macros do you have set up to help you work in a PUG
c) other tips and tricks for smooth PUG experience as a new tank
Mar 10th 2011 3:12PM Good guides ty!
With regards to Mr Pinchy, I'm wondering whether the drop rate on him has been stealth increased? I have 2 characters who have been leveling fishing, both have caught him after fishing in only a few highland pools. They also both got the pet on the first click on the Mr Pinchy box. Have others had the same experience, or was I just incredibly lucky for once in WOW?
Feb 28th 2011 1:24PM WOW! Just wow! I loved this. The video and story meshed so well with the well chosen track. Very dark, emotional, and intriguing. Great work!
Feb 26th 2011 12:38PM This is a good idea, but currently too symplistic, I hope they develop it further. I would like to see a questionnaire type approach that the guild leader fills in, and the applicant, so that the system can suggest a number of guilds to you, rather like an online dating agency. Something like:
The guild raids endgame content Often Sometimes Never/Not interested
The guild pvps together Often Sometimes Never/Not interested
The guild runs heroics together
The guild runs old world content together
Guildies are very keen on trade skills
Guildies are very keen on achievement gathering
Guildies enjoy roleplaying
There are a high number of older mature players
There are a high number of family and young players
I use to be an officer and raid leader of a large guild successful guild for several years. After its eventual demise I found it difficult to find another guild that I enjoyed as much. I am currently guildless on a new server. I am wary about the hassle of trying new guilds, as would welcome a feature if it allowed to to try and hone in on a guild that may have a more friendly intelligent and mature atmosphere than you find in most.
Feb 8th 2011 11:40AM One of my favorite zones ever - just awesome! Beautifully artwork and design, interesting and original. Quest-line immerses you in the story. Quest-line is very linear, but for once I didn't find that a problem, as it was well done. I also felt I would happily repeat this zone multiple times.
Some tips for smoother questing:
- Be careful with aoe spells - as a hunter, my pets thunderstomp very easily pulled adds in a 3D environment, found it easier with a single target pet
- Buy some BOE cata greens from the AH before attempting the cata zones. I returned to Cata after a break and leveled a new toon on a new server, so her gear was very poor when she reached 80. However there are some excellent level 79-81 greens available for 20-50G on the AH, which will make your life much easier. I loved this zone but found my AH greens were better than many of the quest rewards, and certainly better itemized for a hunter.
Jun 22nd 2009 11:04AM My vote is Evelook in Winterspring - Tattooine in the snow. And they have penguin wall paper. My second would be Booty Bay, everyone wants to be a pirate, right?
Apr 17th 2009 2:59PM I meant to say *shouldn't be* the only type of hunter posts on wowinsider
Apr 17th 2009 2:57PM Please can we have some hunter related posts on 3.1 changes, specs, gear, shot rotations, raiding tips, etc. Some of the other class writers are doing an excellent job of providing this up-to-date information to fans. These kind of articles are interesting, but they should be the only hunter articles on WOWinsider. With BRK in retirement hunters are greedy for some posts.
I've tried to do my bit and put up some posts on survival spec in 3.1, beastmaster off-spec, and my experience of raiding survival in the first couple of days of the patch on my blog. But I am greedy for other points of view.
You can find my hunter blog - Steady Shot - at http://wowwhimsy.wordpress.com/
