Feb 12th 2012 10:40PM I like this direction. It makes sense. It links the feel of the class while keeping things individualized.
There's a similar idea going with Druids' Wild Mushroom ability for Resto and Balance in MoP. As an Elemental player, I especially like the idea of a Greater Lightning Bolt (with a different name).
Trap Launcher, er... Totemic Projection should help with Spirit Link Totem's range, etc assuming that it's not a severely costly GCD drain.
Feb 12th 2012 10:33PM I'd love to see a way to make Earth Shield "harden" every once in a while. Allowing for Resto Shamans to be able to apply a high powered Absorption Effect every once in a while would round out the toolkit pretty nicely. Maybe it could work off of the target's percentage health. Perhaps a very short term increase to the Shaman's HoT healing could be incorporated into the same healing CD.
Hand of Protection, Guardian Spirit, and even Pain Suppression and Hand of Salvation can be very powerful cooldowns. Obviously Spirit Link Totem can be powerful too, and so it's not necessarily the case that this CD needs to be as powerful. However, it seems clear to me that all Healers will be expected to have a single target CD going forward. Something comparable to Druid's new Ironbark in usefulness, with its own clever touch would be nice.
Sep 27th 2008 7:43PM I'd really, really like to see Totem of Wrath added as a fifth Element (and a range extension added to Searing). This would be a tremendous boost to Elemental's aoe while buffing potential.

Aug 27th 2008 4:48PM Remember back to the Priest revamp long ago when they were talking about making Greater Heal a channeled spell due to its then excruciatingly long cast time? It seems like Penance is sort of headed in that direction.
Disc will be among the fastest single target healers in game between Shields, Aegises, and Penance. The overhealing with Penance should be among the game's least since it will provide instant channeled healing.
The spell definitely doesn't appear to be finished, but then again, the entire end of the Disc tree (like most trees) still looks a tad clumsy. And there's that whole Rage with shields issue to work through.
I'd personally like to see Penance's cooldown become one second shorter than Grace's duration in the end so as to easily maintain Grace stacks. So, if Penance remains 10 seconds then Grace should last 11-12.
