Aug 22nd 2009 12:04AM Another idea is that the art devs were like "Hey, lets just take a map of Azeroth, recolor it, and show it to people so that they just guess for 8months until we actually release a map! Oh yeah, draw an island in the middle instead of the Whirlpool"
Aug 22nd 2009 12:01AM Saying the blue-ish area is water is putting the Barrens underwater, which we all know is not true (from the trailer). I like the buffer idea because it has been said that Thousand Needles is submerged and on this map it is shaded in blue, which from looking at other zones, cannot be water.
Aug 21st 2009 11:42PM So, the blue-ish parts are playable areas and the yellow-ish parts are destroyed/underwater/fire covered/otherwise unplayable ground?
Aug 14th 2009 8:21AM Ready for this? Are you? Bring back an attunement quest chain! Yeah, I said it.
Jul 30th 2009 6:41PM "Lastly if you have loot problems? Don't tell the guild. Tell the raid leader. Don't cause drama and make raiding miserable for 9 or 24 of your best friends."
OMG, someone else uses logic! If people would go to the leaders of the raid/guild, express their problems like non-screaming babies, maybe something will actually come from it. Screaming in /g isn't going to solve anything.
Jul 19th 2009 7:16PM @TomWolf:
"A more powerful spell either costs more mana or takes longer to cast...often both. While the mana isn't really an issue until you run out of it time management is always an issue. If you spend 4 seconds casting a spell when a 2 second spell would have been enough then you might not have time to save the dying rogue (and there is always a dying rogue around)."
While this is true that time management IS important, in a raid environment every person has a role: tank, dps, and healer. Some of these roles have sub categories (OT, dps adds, etc) and healing is no different and, usually, every healer has their own assignment. Generally, from the point of view of a MT healer, its not my job to heal a dying rogue (which, yes, there is always one). I have one job and that is to ensure the tank doesn't die. If I can do that and not go OOM, who cares what my overhealing is.
Jul 15th 2009 4:06PM In terms of ETA, Blizzard also said that we would have a months notice of the removal of Proto-Drakes for the Ulduar Raider achievements. So far, I haven't seen this announcement anywhere.
Although, it was never made clear as to whether we would lose the drakes prior to 3.2 or after it was released, so I guess its not a set time frame either way
Jun 2nd 2009 2:46PM Got my patch installed, now to stare at the Realm Selection for another hour :(
Feb 9th 2009 8:46AM I guess this would be a bug:
I had a guildie duel a warlock in Stonebreaker Hold in Terrokar Forest. After defeating the Lock, he was able to take flight using the taxi service. He died in flight from the warlocks dots and was forced to rez from the spirit healer as he could not reach his body.
There was also a bug in Shadowmoon Valley around patch 2.4.1, I think. One could get on a flying mount and dive bomb into the Alliance encampment there. If you hit the right crease in the rocks/buildings, you could zone into Black Temple. I did this many times with some guildies to AoE farm epic gems. :)
Jan 9th 2009 4:59PM I say we get a big DOTA or StarCraft game going while we wait!
