Whenever you start, it won't be complete until two brew fests have passed, as you have to wait a year for those brews. So start in November and it will take you 23 months!

Oct 17th 2008 7:02AM I agree with taking the points of out of improved shields. I highly doubt you need any extra help when soloing (and if you do, from my experience it is far more likely that extra mana regen from water shield is going to be what is wanted). Improved shields is pretty much useless in a group.
On the other hand, enhancing totems will be useful to a group and probably (although i may be wrong here) about equal to improved shields for more difficult solo (e.g. elites by yourself).

Later on when you have more points and can add static shock then improved shields will make sense.

I decided on a build exactly as yours, except 3 points from shields to totems, and one point from improved stormstrike to winfury totem (only got quest and reputation weapons, so stormstrike is not a large percentage of damage. I can't see anyone with purples taking the point out though! Possibly drop a point from ancestral knowledge or even shamanistic focus if you think you would still not have mana issues.)

Regarding the totems: would be nice if we could actually destroy them...

Before your random green gloves drop - they are either useful or not. Now there is a greater chance that they will be useful, hence there is more choice on whether to use it or not.

Your theory would be correct if wow was a big shop and you could go and select anything you like.

But it is not. Items drop randomly. So increasing the percentage of those items that are usable to you increases the choices available.
