Is faction antagonism story-driven or player-driven? {WoW}

Sep 18th 2010 12:29PM For me, its story driven. I play on a PvE server, and never once flagged (at least not while sober) since '05. Ally fanboys' faction comments in /trade were silly & quickly became annoying. But Cata's progression of old world story lines changed this for me. Come November, my nelf will be ganking every horde in ashenvale when not raiding. You don't belong there. Kindly leave the pretty trees alone.

Spiritual Guidance: Let's talk about mana, baby {WoW}

Aug 17th 2010 10:48AM @Byron

That is exactly why I'm coming back to healing in cata. I deleted my holy priest shortly after wrath out of frustration. Patchwerk I think was the last straw. If cata healing really returns to an attrition, tactical game rather than a twitch based spam-fest, blizz just got a couple hundred bucks worth of subscription fees out of me.

Breakfast Topic: Is it time for a change? {WoW}

Apr 12th 2010 9:04AM Its the same recurring cycle for me: I'll play casually for a month or two. That'll eventually turn into more intense raiding for a couple months, then as a result I'll burnout and quit. By the time I come back, new patches and content have added novelty. I've done this for 3 years now...wow.

The Guild, episode 7 of season 3 {WoW}

Oct 14th 2009 5:51AM It's like a rl version of MTV's Daria. She, and by extension, you, are amazing.

Sep 3rd 2009 8:28AM Only One May Rise...have been staring at that quest in my log for years. Probably make my guild help with the rest of the chain.

Spiritual Guidance: A Lightwell primer {WoW}

Rumorbuster: David Wenham might play Arthas {WoW}

Aug 5th 2009 2:56PM there's too much complicated lore attached to warcraft. That said, Warcraft III is the way to go. I can see a LOTR-ish intro glossing over medivh & the portal business. If the script is written from a human point of view, there would be no need to explain what nelfs & helfs are or where they came from. They would merely be mysterious non-humans. Overall, The less explanation of lore the better.

Zombies, demons, orcs, big medieval battles, magic, & tree-hugging elves? So long as it doesnt get bogged down in backstory or minutiae, how can that not be successful?

Priest Q & A: Healers remain indifferent {WoW}

Aug 5th 2009 11:49AM People bash GH, but with 3 stacks of serendipity, its quick enough. I'm pretty happy with holy in pve content...wasn't really looking for any big change.

Breakfast Topic: Putting on Your Game Face {WoW}

Dec 16th 2008 9:06AM If when watching Pres. Bush get shoes thrown at him this week, you immediately thought:

"BOOTERANG! AYAYAYA"
