Feb 21st 2011 3:15PM I agree with the sentiment. The majority of the time I spend doing Alliance-only quests, I either felt that I wasn't doing anything particularly important or that I was fighting off another Horde assault. There was the couple odd quests that broke this, but mostly I felt unexcited to be fighting for the Alliance (which is a damn shame. I love this faction).
The other problem goes along with our races, like jealouspirate said. Gnomes don't get their homeland back, Worgen in short supply around the world, Draenei STILL in short supply around the world...
Jan 27th 2011 10:23AM Back before I left for college:
"Noralith, come downstairs!"
I can't, I'm in a raid.
"Pause your game!"
I can't. You can't do it with this game.
"Just pause it!"
I'm playing with 9 other real people. To pause it I'd have to pause the Internet!
"*loud grumbling about how the game is bad and how I'm not playing with real people because I don't know them in person*"
*comes downstairs after getting raid to stop* I know half of the people I'm playing with in person. What do you need?
"I just wanted to ask when you're leaving for work."
Jan 5th 2011 10:16AM My rule is that they have to at least appear and sound like a fantasy name. All of my close friends that I play with went with titles or jokes rather than names (such as Deathbringer or Spqr) and it always bothered me slightly to see a character named something that's not a name.
I've only broken this rule once, for my bank alt named SeñorLoot.
Jan 3rd 2011 9:44AM I voted him down due to flagrant use of the word "sheeple".
Dec 24th 2010 2:50PM How DARE you wish me a merry christmas! You see, time is relative, and I just got back from a light speed trip around the Earth that I started in 1994. To me, it's July of 2009. This is just insult to injury.
Dec 6th 2010 1:39PM I think there is something to be said for both of the world events.
The Zombie Invasion was much more memorable and much, MUCH more fun... at first. When the infection timer was still a couple minutes, it was possible to enjoy both WoW as we knew it and the madcap hijinks. Resistance groups would rove around, fighting off the zombies and the infected, while players who didn't want to participate didn't have to go far to be cleansed and left alone. Then the infection timer was suddenly dropped to a minute, then to a few seconds, and no one had a choice anymore. Even I, who really friggin' LOVED the event, grew irritated when I had my fill of zombie killing but couldn't go do anything else.
The Elemental Invasion wasn't nearly as impressive in terms of what you did, but the lore was exciting and really pushed towards Cataclysm. It took a suspension of disbelief, as does the rest of the game, but I really got a sense of "Oh shoot, something bad is gonna happen soon!"
So, I enjoyed them both. I would have to say the Zombie Invasion was the more fun invasion... and also the horrendously less fun one. Maybe if the Elemental Invasion had let you turn into a Fire Elemental if you were ignited...
Oct 23rd 2010 10:47PM Seeing everyone complain about the Sindy screech, I feel I must ask..
Is my computer the only one that has volume settings besides 100% and Muted?

Can you let us know what server(s) you played/intend to play on? Also, gonna need character names. I just want to make sure you never get a port from any of my mages.
Jul 21st 2010 10:03AM Often, when I'm in a raid with another resto shaman, I feel a little more excited and competitive at the same time. The latter stems from the gear check, realizing that they're as well geared as I am, and now I have to fight for my gear.
Really though, I notice other healers more. It feels like a band of brothers, us healers working together, and when we overcome a particularly tough boss, or a fight gone wrong, often many Congratulations, happy whispers and /highfives go up amongst the healer team.
Finally, I do happen to notice Draenei more often, especally on the forums. Makes me feel extra glad when one of us has a phenominal, witty or very helpful post. Likewise, when I see another Draenei Shaman post like an angry six-year-old, I have a strange wave of shame wash over me.
Jul 15th 2010 5:24PM See, this is what I thought, I just need confirmation. Thanks!
