Apr 10th 2011 9:36AM ! :O
You're the real baron soosdon? Let me just take this opportunity to say your "I'm so sick" video changed the way I viewed WoW machinima. Inspiring, breath-taking and amazing all in one.
Sad to hear you're going to leave the game. An amazing member of the WoW community.
Apr 10th 2011 8:50AM Cataclysm's been a game changer for the worse for me unfortunately. While I enjoy the updated graphics, flying in the old world, guild levels and revised talents and skills... The combination of the relatively increased dungeon difficulty turning most of my Dungeon Finder runs into DotA equivalent rage-fests, and the linear leveling path's has kept me to mostly playing the Auction house for fun...
Jan 9th 2011 4:26AM It's not so much mounts as it is armor. Could you imagine the work that would need to go in to creating new pant models and textures for every single type of pants in the game at the moment, just for one race? Let alone there are already people that complain about various clipping issues as it is... It would be a nightmare.
Jan 6th 2011 6:36AM im wondering about the usefullness of the tailoring back enchants, I spent a long time looking at them and doing some theorycraft (and a while testing them today) and either way the benefits seem marginal at best even with ideal uptime.
Especially given we aren't able to constantly cast, it seems as though we are best off sticking with the 50 int regardless... Anyone have any advice on this?
Nov 27th 2010 11:50PM I've been realm hopping for years =\
Never found one to settle on. Every realm has it's plusses and minuses. There will never be one "perfect" realm. (unless there is one particular thing you are looking for and can find it on said realm.)
Off the top of my head the realms I have been on (and reasons for transfers are as follows)
ursin (way too quiet)
silvermoon (transferred here to play with friends)
aman'thul (guild on silvermoon disbanded and x-ferred here)
silvermoon (transferred back here to play with those who didn't x-fer)
nagrand (free transfer thought I'd give it a go)
Kel'Thuzad (transferred here to play with new friends)
Earthern Ring (was gonna give the IAE guild a shot)
and finally at the moment im on Jubei'thos (to play with friends)
And I can tell you, on all said servers bar Ursin, pug's were plenty, on some realms less, but still enough to satisfy... Trade chat was always going (kel'thuzad was crazy with spam though :s)... Guild drama's/rivalries were always existant... Every server had their "popular" people who a lot of people knew/talked to in trade...
Some were noticably more interested in PvP, often looking publicly in trade for arena teams... But bar that they were all pretty much offered the same game-play experience.
So unless you are Really sure you want to transfer, I'd think twice to be honest, the grass is quite often greener on the other side...
Your mileage may vary
Aug 28th 2010 1:35AM Hi, I just want to say that it positively sucks that you are using this service which disallows us not living in the US.
Anyway, I have an idea, obviously it wont be considered because I can't enter it but hopefully it inspires someone to suggest an article on the topic.
Damage per second.
What is it exactly? Why is it important? What is it that makes this number a defining statistic for all the DPS classes?
I'm sure the answer to these questions if researched are less conclusive than many may think. It surprises me to no end that people don't understand that DPS is practically as arbitrary as gear score.
I'd love to see a feature article to open the minds of people to explore these questions further.
Apr 16th 2010 1:53AM Let's be honest here, one of the main reasons people play WoW is to upgrade their virtual character, and what does this bring other than having something new and shiny to look at? nothing... For some it would be the satisfaction of being a great player, but for some reason I have the feeling that those people wouldn't buy this anyway.
I fail to see the difference between buying a mount like this and buying gold to get something that might actually be useful in the game...
Not that I would do either, but can someone explain?
Activision is killing WoW btw, do you think its coincidence that none of this happened before the merger? Sure they charged for character transfers, but that actually meant something, you were getting something valuable out of it (and they kicked a fair share of power leveling sites in the groin as that was the only option if you wanted to move servers without leveling again.)
You've gotta think guys, they would be getting more money than most indie developers who spend years working on a game getting it to release, just by selling a model... A damn model... I can't support this.
Apr 16th 2010 1:43AM wow, over 4 thousand comments, interesting.... I wonder if this will get over 9000
Apr 10th 2010 3:30AM You say yourself, this is just speculation based on how things work now...
Why even bother? Things will be nothing like they are now.
I particularly lol'd at your "planned" rotation for frost. You seriously have to get out of that mind frame of applying these mechanics to the current game. WoW will essentially be a new game.
