The random dungeon finder. Kinda missing the epic summoning stone battles.
Sep 3rd 2011 12:43PM There must be a better way. I hate to say it and downvote all you want, but I think some of you should read this. Particularly the last 2/3 of the article.
Aug 20th 2011 6:02PM Come on ArenaNet, this is your window while the WoW base is disillusioned and disappointed.
RELEASE IT ALREADY!
Jul 30th 2011 11:37AM I'm somewhat of a closet player which actually turns out to be a good thing. Since I won't play while others are around (family, friends, kids, girlfriends) it helps me avoid having this game turn into the addiction that it can be, and it makes it so that I am always keeping other priorities ahead of the game. Hobbies-wise, its the outdoors that trumps WoW playing for me. Hiking normally, but just generally being outdoors. Yard work even ;) I also have 2 little ones and I enjoy being "that dad" that an above poster talked about, and a single dad at that.
Somehow though I still have 5 - 85's (3 of which in full purples). Nightly raiding doesn't fit however. What keeps me playing is that single dad thing. For 50% of the time, there are no little ones about and it is only then that I will play the game. Not having them half the time now gives me a more clear appreciation of the time I DO have with them. Time that could be spent being "that dad". We bake cookies or go for nature walks instead ;)
May 14th 2011 11:46AM My main is named Jenkins so of course I got her to "Jenkins Jenkins"
My Undead Priest is "Deathtickles" and my goal is to get "Salty Deathtickles". I'll just leave that with you to say out loud to yourself.
Apr 8th 2011 2:15PM If I'm reading this right, it means that the mounts (or rather the satchel that contains them) will be bind on account? I'm assuming they will be a consumable and not like the baby blizzard bear where every alt gets one.
I have to admit that this IS enticing. I also admit to missing tanking and its rewards and responsibility. There's just a part of me that dies inside every time I run into the crap we talked about in yesterday's comments. (we don't really need the same conversation again here).
Tank@Heart (with some hope left yet...)
Apr 6th 2011 10:32PM Maybe, but EVERY tank was sub par to some degree at one point.
If you want more tanks and less queue time, then maybe you should be putting up with some of them learning and maybe stumbling here and there. The sometimes knee-jerk/raging/elitist reaction of ZOMGYURFAIL booting them from the group is not always the best way to handle the situation. How else are they supposed to get better and with that reaction to a mistake, why the @$#! would they ever want to try again?
Anything that may make someone give it a try and increase the amount of people willing to tank is a good thing. I've never been booted for bad tanking, but the overall attitude of the general public is what makes me not want to do it anymore.
(I'm using "you" not as you specifically, but meaning the dps population at large)
Mar 22nd 2011 1:02AM Or the ponies
Mar 21st 2011 12:02AM I couldn't agree with you all more. I have 3 tanks that I still hesitate to run heroics on for those very reasons. It's not lack of experience tanking or any timidness to the job, its being worn out by bad experiences in grouping with others that has done me in. I just don't have the time or energy for the BS, real life gives us all enough of that already. We don't need that from a video game. Everyone saw this coming when we saw what the model was going to be in switching from wrath to cataclysm.
On that note, it was supposed to be a simple fun comment about crazy oddballs tanking on Shamans way back, nothing more.
