Aug 1st 2011 10:30AM I remember this epic time in Naxxramas in World of Warcraft one time. We were running 10 man (We were a small family friends guild at the time) and we were on Heigan (the dance boss for all who know by mechanics). Well we got Heigan down to about 15% during the third dance phase, then everyone besides me and a healer got killed in the final tick of the dance wave. I was playing on my hunter, so I run up the center stage and the boss is on the ground chasing around the healer. Somehow, in the time we started taht phase till the end I burned Heigan down all the way. 15% in about a minute, which was awesome for me at the time :) Couldn't belive it happened at the end, the entire raid was shocked beyond all belief.
Jul 25th 2011 11:07AM I completely understand people being upset about this game not being released in all areas at once, but this is actually a really common thing, especially with games produced outside of the US. We have gotten into the habit of US games releasing everywhere at once (in fact they often release overseas before US has a chance to buy them due to time differences). However, when one looks at how other gaming companies publish games, specifically the Asian gaming companies, most of them do not even allow their games to be published outside of their countries for quite a long time. For example, games like Dragonball Online. Also, the European community has had access to the game Black Prophecy for over a year before the game was even brought in beta form to the US. While I understand that these games have had no where near the amount of hype and excitement that SW:TOR has had over the years, this is still not an unprecedented occurrence.
And on a personal note, I would prefer not to have server issues for the first week than to hardly be able to play due to overpopulation of servers. I would not quit the game because of this, but it would be frustrating that a game I had been waiting for almost eight years to play (been following the game since Bioware Austin was opened) was unplayable because of the amount of people attempting to log-on. But that said, I hope that the game releases over a very quick period of time in other regions and increase the amount of copies available quickly in order to allow all the potential players to have access to this game.
Feb 24th 2011 9:39AM Honestly, I would say it all depends upon when in the War of the Ancients the raid occurs. If its centered around Deathwing, it will likely be the fight over the Dragon Soul / Demon Soul, so I would guess a legendary granted from Malygos himself or something related to the Blue Dragonflight. If it is rather about the actual War against the Burning Legion then I would guess that the item would be a relic of the Highborne.

Actually, none of the DKs are undead except the Forsaken ones. If they were, the human undead would look like the Forsaken. Instead, they are Death Knights like Arthas was. Completely living, just with the powers that were bestowed upon him by Frostmourne and The Lich King. Therefore, when Arthas took up the mantle of Lich King, he was able to convert other beings to his will, turning them into Death Knights. This is why the Lich King himself was necessarily present when you rise as a Death Knight. His minions like Morgaine or the Four Horsemen don't have the ability to raise others as Death Knights, only the Lich King. At least this is from my understanding.
TL;DR - Death Knights aren't undead, they are still their starting race, just with the powers of a Death Knight.

I know probably no one cares, but as one of the few people who actually knows what the eth (ð) means, I feel obligated to tell everyone that it is not a variation of an "o" but rather is the "th" sound in Old English. Just for some useless information that no one really cares about.
Dec 19th 2010 9:21PM Just wondering, and this is probably a Tinfoil Hat speculation, but Uther stated there must always be a Lich King. We have all assumed that it is the Helm of the Lich King which imbued him his powers, but wouldn't the control of the Undead be more inline with the real succession of the Lich King. Therefore, is it possible that when Bolvar took up the helm and sealed himself into the throne we (and Tirion) only thought we had sealed the menace of the Lich King. Instead, what if the powers of the Lich King instead passed down to Sylvanas, who has now become the leader of the Undead in almost all rights. This seems to fit with her thoughts and plans (even before the death of Arthas, do the quests in Howling Fjord and Dragonblight and tell me that Sylvanas didn't know that the plague was as bad as it was). The expansion of the Forsaken to consume all living creatures until only the Forsaken is left, which is the same thing the Scourge wanted, just under a different banner and a different name. Again, this is just my wild speculation, but it seems possible given what we have seen and what we know, or rather don't know.
Nov 19th 2010 1:51PM I know I asked this a LONG time ago, but I've been really missing it... Any chance that we'll see AAFL again? Really loved the articles and loved what you guys did with them. Of course you'd run out of faction leaders if you did it weekly, so maybe just make it interviewing interesting NPCs in game. Could call it "This is NPC"or "NPC Talk Radio" - Creating an informed public by interviewing Azeroth's greatest minds.
Oct 14th 2010 9:41AM Actually, if I had to guess, I'd say that Lil' Ali is probably going to be from the pet store. Usually the super awesome pets cost you something, and just regular awesome pets are drops/event.
Oct 12th 2010 2:26PM Actually, I think they will progressively happen over patch 4.0.1, since Blizzard has said that Vanilla will be changed with 4.0.3. If the old questing is changing in 4.0.3 then the pre-events for the Cataclysm must have already occurred, because they occur before the sundering, not during/after. Therefore, logically, the Cultist pre-events/elemental invasion 2.0 must occur during the life of 4.0.1; whether they are up when servers come online is another story.
Oct 9th 2010 10:22PM Well, with midterms coming up, my school decided to give us Monday and Tuesday off. While this would normally mean that the days will be filled with picked up double shifts at my part-time job, I decided to give myself a break, so three days off here I come (haven't had that since I went on vacation in the summer). So gonna try to get Loremaster of the Eastern Kingdoms done one of the days. 86 more quests to go! And for the bonus question, Worgen all the way. Have been wanting them as a playable class since I got transformed into one the first time I was in Kara with the Torment of the Worgen book. Worgen hunter for 20 seconds, cool. Worgen hunter for life, priceless.
