Apr 26th 2011 8:58AM Since I started playing WoW to play with real-life friends and played almost exclusively with people I knew when I first started, it's very easy for me to understand that players are people.
What I'm often more surprised by is when *other* people forget that fact. I've known several people in real life who will act one way in person and then turn into a GIANT troll online, even in private whispers. It's really amazing to watch. Recently, I had been out to a very amiable breakfast with a group of people, and that night, one of them attacked me in whispers mid-raid. I just kept thinking, "Do you not remember that we ate BACON together not 8 hours ago?!?!"
Oct 11th 2010 9:48AM Speaking of Malygos, I had to take Dramamine for our guild's first kill of him, because otherwise I would throw up. So, I drugged myself for the sake of the game.
Apr 20th 2010 9:03AM At a smaller sci-fi convention last year, my husband did the "exclamation point over your head" thing. When people would click on him, he'd say, "Get me a drink and I'll give you 10 silver and 200 rep with South Minneapolis." It was AMAZING how much booze he got in exchange for a dime....
Feb 25th 2010 12:43AM Didn't buy it tonight because I didn't have $25...sure would be sweet to get it:-)
Jan 13th 2010 9:34AM Healbot allows you to keep the mob targeted while healing anybody in the raid. If you're going to use an add-on anyway, why not skip the whole /focus business?

Sep 14th 2009 1:01PM I made a whole video of all the things I love about WoW:
Aug 16th 2009 10:32PM This was a beautiful piece and it made me miss my own mother. My dad, who plays WoW with me, and I have had a number of discussions about what class and race my mom would have played in WoW. It's a fun little "what if" game, but it's always tinged with melancholy.
