The Queue: Hodgepodge {WoW}

May 13th 2009 1:47PM So what your saying is that since the gold variable is signed we should expect Blizzard to implement a credit system soon so we can start buying items on credit...

Great! That way the WoW economy can accurately reflect the real economy. Everyone can borrow tons of money and then when they can't repay it back they can just declare WoW bankruptcy and start over. New mounts for everyone! Crafted BOE Epics flying off the shelves! Why do dailies today, when you can pay with credit and do them tomorrow!

The Martin Fury scandal: Karatechop reveals all {WoW}

Apr 30th 2009 7:41PM I would absolutely love for you to be in a guild where one of the members is caught violating the ToS and then you get banned. Love it. I would giggle as I read the WoWinsider post "SaintStryfe banned for associating with questionable players."

Or even better yet, I hope Blizzard programs a bug into one of your characters ability and by using that ability you violate the ToS and get banned. Then you could come and wine on WoWinsider how you "didn't know it was bugged" and everyone would write their comments about how your a cheater and deserve everything you get.

You and Blizzard take WoW way too seriously. At least they are making money off of it, your just a fanboy.

I hope all the guild members who did not participate in the raid and still got banned sue Blizzard for wrongful banning, defamation of character, emotional scarring, violation of their own EULA and unlawful seizure of goods.

Martin Fury cheat draws Blizzard ire {WoW}

Apr 30th 2009 6:20PM Banning someone for a mistake that the company made is lame. They very well could have rolled back all the ulduar gear and achievements, gave a 72 hour ban and a warning saying "what you did was wrong, even though we f--ked up."

Honestly though, I wouldn't have used it for Ulduar, no way... I would have let it sit in the bank until 3.3 releases. One shot the Lich King FTW. Then post on Ensidia.com letting them no how far behind they are. Then again, I plan on quitting after Wrath anyway. Maelstrom or Emerald Dream is going to weak compared to Icecrown.

Player receives Developer item in the mail, one-shots Ulduar {WoW}

Apr 29th 2009 4:50PM Yea, that makes sense... Give it to the main tank eventhough you one shot everything. All cheaters in my opinion. Not saying that I wouldn't have gone in and solo'd Ulduar myself on hardmode just to get the World First Algalon kill by myself...

It would have been worthy of a ban, being known across the world as the guy who saved Azeroth from reorigination by himself.

Val'anyr is a Paladin weapon {WoW}

Apr 28th 2009 4:32PM Actually, I heard that mages and other spell casters are all getting talents that convert strength to spellpower. And then everyone will be able to wield one handed swords and wear plate.

That way Blizzard can put one item on the loot table and 25 people can roll on it. Makes everything super easy and theres no need to argue about who gets what.

Really cuts back on design time and stat allocation mathematics. People will QQ, but we're not going anywhere, this game is better than crack.

Apr 24th 2009 7:30PM You're not a good resto druid then.

Val'anyr stats discovered [updated] {WoW}

Apr 24th 2009 7:24PM It's definitely a pally mace. The proc is pretty much only useful for MT healers unless its a situational fight where there is constant raid damage to the entire raid.

I'm not saying I would turn it down if it were handed to me, but if I was a guild leader and it came down to my MT Pally (or priest) healer or my Raid Healing Druid, it doesn't matter how much DKP the Druid has, its a MT healing mace.

I can see from the comments that this is going to cause some drama. Thankfully half the people commenting don't have the skill to even obtain the mace. =P

Loot, rationality, and the Sunwell effect, part II {WoW}

Apr 24th 2009 12:27PM Wrong Ferrarro.

25 man is not more difficult. Did you not read the article?

It says right in there that certain things are tougher on 10 man than 25 man. Therefore, 25 man is not more difficult, on every level.

L2read pls

Loot, rationality, and the Sunwell effect, part II {WoW}

Apr 24th 2009 12:23PM @trogdor7
You've figured it out but you don't know it yet.

They don't need to change anything on how the loot iLvl works, they need to change the encounters. You said T7 was so easily puggable that nobody needed to do the 10 man. The easiest way to fix that, make T8 un-puggable.

And Blizzard did a very good job of that. I don't think you'll be seeing a pug for Ulduar 25 until at least 3.2, depending on your server population. For instance, you very rarely saw someone recruiting for a fresh TK/SSC run, and if you did it was more than likely only a couple open spots. Well, before the 3.0 nerf hit...

They just need to make 10 mans slightly easier than the 25 mans and everything will be fine. Not easy as in full clear while still in leveling greens, easy as in, 3/4 epics from Naxx 10 easy.

Spoilers: Preview of Algalon the Observer {WoW}

Apr 21st 2009 6:12PM Agreed.

This encounter looks a-maze-ing. Makes me really consider moving to WoW EU. The US is so far behind on this its ridiculous. And it's definitely time for a realm change for me. The number one guild on the server still hasn't finished either 10 or 25 on normal mode.

Recommendations? Scilla? Ysondre? Mal'Ganis? Where do the hardcore go to play? :)

And just one more time... this looks absolutely insane. And I love the 1 hour time limit per week. Really emphasizes skill vs. brute force. GG Blizz - I have found my will to raid again.
